Any way someone could throw in a line of the original YouTube description for videos? We have them in some cases, but I think an infobox would be a very good place to put them in cases we do have them and I think they're usually pretty brief so it won't look weird or anything. --[[User:Champthom|Champthom]] 02:25, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Having a special videobox for liquid is kind of cool, but we need a more general "troll response" infobox that can take care of more situations.  Anybody up to it? --[[User:Dude|Dude]] 18:47, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

IMPORTANT: Using the Infoboxes

  1. Make sure to make all the dates LINKED to the actual pages for the dates. EXAMPLE: 21 August 2008 ; 21 August 2008
  2. Make sure to put them on the TOP of the chapter. If there is some information / an intro above the video in the chapter, just place it under the Infobox.
  3. For the Audiobook and Videobook infoboxes, keep in mind that there are sections for both Episodes and Sub-Episodes. If the video is on an Episode, then just write (and link) the episode number in the Episode section, but leave the Sub-Episode one blank (and the other way, for Sub-Episodes).
  4. When linking to another video, in the "Next" or "Previous" areas, make SURE, that you are linking to the video that comes after/before it. Don't just blindly follow the navbox at the bottom of the page, as it links to the wrong pages (if you notice this, correct it).
  5. Also, when linking to another video, make sure to link to the CHAPTER of the page, which the video is on, and not just the page itself. Like, don't link to Kudos_to_the_Encyclopedia_DramaDestruction, instead, link to Kudos_to_the_Encyclopedia_DramaDestruction#Watch. This makes the process of navigating trough the videos, much nicer.

Discussions

Is it worth making an infobox template for fan vids/parodies/remixes and the like? or would that be a waste of time? Xentrilus 20:35, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

  • I'm all for the idea, but it's low-priority. --Morganna 20:38, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
  • You're right. it is indeed. it shall wait for the time being. Xentrilus 20:41, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
  • And they are done :P --NeoShadow 21:43, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
  • What about Kacey's videos? She seems too prominent to warrant a generic audo/fan-video template. I dunno. --Morganna 19:19, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
  • I dunno... maybe I'll make it a 'Gal-Pal template'...--NeoShadow 19:52, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
