Adjustments
So I made a change to the video template which inserts a linked version of Chris's name on video templates when someone puts |maker= Chris. Do you think that since the template is intended for Chris videos, we can just make the maker default to displaying Chris's name and drop the |maker= line for most uses of the template - retaining the option to include it if we need to override it?
Oh and I'm considering making the template parameters lowercase, as is common with templates. I could implement a way for the template to accept both while I transition each use of the template to use lowercase. Worth doing? (Some of the parameters are already lowercase - messy!) --Anonymax 10:27, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
:I've dropped the requirement for the maker parameter - the template now defaults to Chris as this template is for his videos. It does however support a custom maker - for the odd TRUE and HONEST CWC video that isn't made by Chris (There may already be some, I've not come across them yet). I've also added extra parameters in lowercase, and shortened two of them. These changes should not have significantly changed existing uses of the template, but let me know if you see any weirdness around. --Anonymax 21:16, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

So, continuing the Infobox 2.0 Experiment, I'm implementing the new infobox now. If any problems occur, or if popular opinion says "Fuck off!" then its a simple process to undo it. So let's see how this works out. --NeoShadow 03:51, 15 April 2011 (PDT)

So is this eventually going to be on all the videos or what? Xentrilus 17:38, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Dating

ATTENTION: The date format for these infoboxes is now: (two-digit day) (month) (year) It's settled. If you see one that's wrong, don't bitch. Change it plz. Xentrilus 20:18, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

HAY. Should we bother including the "th" "rd" st" bits after the day? I don't think we should as CWCKi:DATING doesn't include them. Xentrilus 20:22, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

 • Yeah, good point. Gettin' rid of 'em. --NeoShadow 20:27, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

This is a bit of a problem. The majority of the completed infoboxes use the dating format: MONTH DAY, YEAR. AFAIK this goes against the CWCki standard. Now IMO this wouldn't be that big of an issue, provided EVERY infobox used this format, but the thing is some of the infoboxes use the format DAY MONTH YEAR.

Before we go ANY further, we need to decide which one we should be using. Otherwise it could lead to quite a bit of extremely tedious work.

tl;dr, HALP WHAT DO WE DO. Xentrilus 19:41, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

 • Oh snap, I didn't think of that... I guess, we should go by the CWCki standart DAY MONTH YEAR, just to play it safe.--NeoShadow 19:54, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
 • Mmmmmkay. Seems reasonable enough. --Morganna 19:58, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
 • OK, BRB, going through all of the videos I did replacing the dates. Lol. Xentrilus 20:08, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

i fuckin this template

It's p. awesome, good job. --Sonichuis44 19:57, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

 • lol. Thanks... I guess.--NeoShadow 19:58, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Video guide

The video guide element makes the succession template added to video pages pretty redundant, if this is now going to used for all videos should the succession template be removed? MaesterTonberry 21:12, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

 • Hmm... yeah, that makes sense... But, that's minimum priority right now. Atm, we should just focus on adding the infoboxes to ALL the videos.--NeoShadow 23:49, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

Infobox Types

Well, now that we have This infobox for TRUE CWC videos, and the Fan-Video infobox, I was thinking we'd probably also need Infoboxes for the Audiobooks, the Videobooks, Liquids videos, etc. So, help me list off all the infoboxes that should be made.
 • Audiobooks
 • Videobooks
 • Liquid Chris
 • ...?

--NeoShadow 23:49, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

 • Videobooks definitely.
 • Is an Audiobook actually embedded in any page in the CWCki? I was under the impression they were all just linked. That one might not be necessary.
 • Videos from Liquid, sure. All that would really require is a change of color scheme (brown).

I can't think of any others either, I'm not sure that there are any others. Xentrilus 23:55, 4 January 2010 (UTC)

 • Alright... but, why not just embed the Audiobooks, then?--NeoShadow 23:56, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
 • The Audiobooks tend to be linked on the page for their corresponding issue. Embedding like 4 videos in a row on one page is really not worth it when you can just link them instead and take up less space. The GOOD news is, however, that I was somewhat mistaken before - there is one instance of an Audiobook being embedded. So if you do feel like making a spin-off infobox for this one video, no-one's going to stop you :P Xentrilus 00:09, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

BTW are you going to make one for Liquid's videos, or is that low-priority atm? Xentrilus 00:58, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

 • Oh yeah! Gonna work on that one now.--NeoShadow 01:02, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

<center> tags

Hey guys, looking great, but watch the use of 'center' tags--don't try and put a quote inside the 'center' tags for a video, because 'quote' already carries its own tags. The result is that you end up with markup that shows up on the page (you'll see random 'center' tags printed around the quote and video after MediaWiki renders the markup) --Umad 05:45, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

fffff these things are everywhere, WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS Xentrilus 05:48, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Not me. I've only been working on the REALLY old videos. None of them have this problem. It was someone who was working on the more... recent... videos... --NeoShadow 14:44, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
 • I've been noticing that too. I've been cleaning them up where ever I see them. --Morganna 13:02, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
The broken markup is everywhere because the new version of MediaWiki is more picky about things. <center> is a deprecated HTML tag, so I guess it's just grumpy about it. Short version: Make sure all tags are properly balanced and don't try to use several <center> tags. --wwwwolf (wake me when you need me) 14:40, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
 • Pretty sure everybody is aware of this now, but don't use 'center' tags anymore; the infobox template takes care of it with CSS. If you see center tags on old pages, remove them. --Umad 01:05, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Previous/Next Video

The Previous/Next video in the infobox isn't displaying properly. Is anyone else seeing this [bullshit?] It wasn't like this a few hours ago. --Morganna 13:05, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

 • Fix'd. Sorry, that was my bad. I fucking fail :( --NeoShadow 13:37, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
 • <3 You are my hero, Neo. --Morganna 18:13, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
 • Indeed, I am the hero of you all! For with my incredible Curse and Blessing powers, I have decided to go out into the streets and fight crime, FOR THE GLORY OF CWCVILLE!--NeoShadow 18:40, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

Template:Tardrage

 • How does everyone feel about me making a version of this with Template:Tardrage built into it, like in my mockup? --Chugger 07:53, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
