Talk:My Little Pony
To do
- Pictures of Chris's My Little Ponies (each individual one and the general collection as seen in his room)
- Origins of Chris's fascination as related to Megan
- There should also be direct links to CWCki articles and not links to YouTube video in regards to the videos where you can see MLPs hanging from his wall. --Champthom 14:50, 28 August 2009 (CEST)
Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqVMZFTifmI has a picture of one. --Ritegroic 07:24, 11 March 2009 (CET)
Someone get me a pic!
If someone can track my down a really good image of his MLP collection, I could ID them and point out the rare ones, if any, and see how much money he's blown on this shit. There are some that are $200+ in value. I've looked at all of the shots of his room I could find but to no avail. BubblegumPinkButler 04:09, 12 May 2009 (CEST)
- Does Megan Shrine help? Image:Etc ebay bid.PNG shows bids but not wins. Axe 09:13, 12 May 2009 (CEST)
- It does, a bit. From these, I see absolutely nothing rare at all. I was at LEAST hoping to see one of the Christmas ponies that go for about $50, or the European only ones that fetch a fair price in the USA. All of these could be obtained at Walmart for God's sake. But they're being obtained on eBay? Also, he might want to be careful keeping those around VHS tapes. The G3 My Little Ponies- which those all are- all contain magnets in the hooves. Hair?
Where was the part about him using his own hair confirmed? On Camo-Flage, Ty Game, Johnlamence and Squall it looks to me like he cheaped out and used colored thread. Walter 10:55, 3 June 2009 (CEST)
Squall Metal Alchemist
I was just reading the bios Chris made for his custom ponies and I think that Chris thinks that Edward Elric's name is Full Metal Alchemist. Just a random thought that came into my head. --Spandam-sama 21:03, 5 December 2009 (CET)
- Chris watches FMA. I'm going to have to kill myself now. --DStecks 19:32, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Rehairing
I just had a fridge moment re: hairing. It seems like when Chris did his custom ponies, he rehaired the mane and not the tail. This is a bit ironic to me. See, the main is made up of what's called plug holes. They're a bunch of holes that go up and down the pony's head, and you have to take a sewing needle or similar instrument to put the new hair plugs in. On top of that, removing the old hair is a pain in the ass as you have to pop off the head and very carefully remove the hair, because if you're too rough with the hair removal you'll rip the plugs, making rehairing fairly impossible. The tail, though, is just a long string of plastic hair doubled over a metal washer, in the old ones, or a plastic bead, in the new ones, and pulled out of a long hole in the pony's ass. All these customs seem to have their original tail, which is by far the easiest part of a pony to replace during the customizing process. By the looks of it, Crystal has the original hair that the pony came with, mane and tail, but if you look at, for instance, Mimmbo Bo Boruto, the tail is very clearly the original nylon hair whereas the mane is what looks like embroidery floss. I can provide some photos on My Little Pony anatomy to show if anyone's really curious. I have a few ripped apart right now for a commission I'm working on. new
there were to many pictures,it was too cluttered and to many close ups. i am trying to arrenge it. i hope i didnt screwed it up. i havent finished it anyway. also, i wanted to add a new small seccion "in the comic", just to mention the cameo of the pony at the end of sonichu special. BTW, does anybody remember that quote from the simpsons where lisa says that when she was younger, she wanted to have her pony as bridemaid or somethin?, i wanted to include it, as it is very fittin in the last scene of sonichu special. --Rosechupenis 05:46, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
SECOND OPINION PLOX!!!!11111
this morning i was browsing /b/ and i came across this image. i wanted to use it to spice up the article and maybe to add some snark with it, and having it instead of one of the others (maybe the one with chris, i came out too bluish), but as Chris hasnt (that we know) sexualized the ponies i may be getting off topic. i dont know Cwcki, wat do?--Rosechupenis 03:56, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Adding such an image would be too distracting for the article and take away from the main point in that Chris is a full grown "man" who plays with toys intended for little girls. --Champthom 13:20, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
MLP in early Sonichu comics?!?
am I th only one who knew that in the mid 80's there was a series of my little pony episodes where the ponies had their master stone called the sunstone stolen? If I remember right this sunstone brought light and life to the land. The sunstone in MLP is even the same color as the stone in the comic. http://www.kimsites.net/dreamvalley/media/cool.jpg I don't know is this is all coincidence or not. But it is just too similar for my mind not to make the connection. --Bad bed head 18:39, 30 March 2011 (PDT)
I just want to point out the irony
in having "If Chris is merciful enough this might be the last time he punishes the MLP fandom. We can only hope." in an article making fun of an adult for liking My Little Pony. I'd bet good money that edit wasn't made by a nine year old girl. --Elias 05:36, 11 June 2011 (PDT)
- How a lot of the internet feels about MLP has changed a lot because of the quality of latest series, Friendship is Magic. This article is not the place to take a definitive stance on this issue, though. I think a mention of how Chris made all of his original ponies long before FiM premiered might be needed, since the MLP series before it are still bad and have no appeal outside of the target demographic but Chris still apparently cared about that shit. Besides, he still made OC ponies including at least one self-insert which is pretty bad regardless. --OFSheep 14:53, 5 July 2011 (PDT)
- Oh okay, your ponies are different. --Elias 15:41, 20 July 2011 (PDT)
Picture replacement
The Poorcamo picture is hard to see in thumbnail form and I've seen no proof that is actually is Camo-Flage. I'd suggest replacing it with the MLP avatar Chris uses on the Tomgirl forum. If someone can prove which pony it is, then a cropped verion of the picture should be put next to that pony's entry in the gallery. --T K 19 09:12, 25 July 2011 (PDT)
