What Chris fails to understand is that 1) people can tell the difference between fact and fiction and ex-cathedra proclamations that clearly show that the speaker doesn't understand this is ''a little bit'' unsettling, and 2) readers actually prefer that fictional characters have some weaknesses (we in the industry call this "depth"), albeit generally a bit more believable and less crippling than what's seen here.

What Chris fails to understand is that 1) people can tell the difference between fact and fiction and ex-cathedra proclamations that clearly show that the speaker doesn't understand this is a little bit unsettling, and 2) readers actually prefer that fictional characters have some weaknesses (we in the industry call this "depth"), albeit generally a bit more believable and less crippling than what's seen here.

It is presented here exactly as it originally appeared in ED.
