Mewgenics Pre Game Goodies Unboxing Video
Mewgenics Pre Game Goodies Unboxing Video is a video published to Chris's YouTube channel on 30 January 2026. It is a part of the Light Powered Cwclight Reviews series, in which Chris unboxes a care package of Mewgenics-related "crap", personally sent to him from the game's co-creator Edmund McMillen (a huge fan of Chris). It was set to private in less than 15 minutes after being posted at 1:00 PM, and Chris's posts promoting the video were also deleted.[1]
The video was reuploaded at 1:36 PM, though it's unknown if there are any alterations from the initial upload. It is possible that Chris accidentally leaked Edmund McMillen's private special email (meant only for select testers of Mewgenics to request a free copy of the game on Steam) at timestamp 1:13 and had to censor it. If this is the case, Chris still failed to obscure it, as the Edmund@Edmundm.com email is still visible in other parts of the video. Chris set the video to private again about an hour later, and reuploaded it again at 2:45 PM.
Near the end, Chris skims through the Mewgenics comic, which he had done artwork for. He acknowledges it directly for the first time, explaining how he digitally drew the cats, added a Sonichu "easter egg", and how he initially expected his contribution to take up two pages instead of one. He also gives a spoiler that he will be doing another review video soon, of something that's "mighty like a Micro Machine, but smaller than a Hot Wheel."
