* Let's roll with the pen name. There's a precedent with this video. Chris is bloody insisting on naming her, there's very little things we can do. This is a situation that should had been resolved IRL between the lady and the Man-Child. As Christorians, we have very little leeway on this and we are duty-bound to record Chris's pathetic existence in minute details. So I respectfully add my voice to those who have eloquently supported the use of the pen name. Griffintown 04:06, 20 April 2010 (UTC) | * Let's roll with the pen name. :*So shall it be written, so shall it be done, given the overwhelming consensus thus far. As I view it, anyone who is going to see this article is going to have seen Chris's original article on the CWCipedia and I would argue that more people view the CWCipedia than the CWCki. Cogs has considered liberalizing our usage of Wallflower's name, given that Chris keeps dropping it while Clyde wants a more hardline response while I believe we should avoid using it unless Chris himself uses it (see Ronichu's suggested policy on the Wallflower main page). Ultimately, Wallflower has entered into trolling culture as shorthand for her name and there's been a taboo associated with mentioning her real name in the same way it's taboo to bring up Megan as a subject of trolling or contacting. --Champthom 04:13, 20 April 2010 (UTC) |
Revision as of 23:13, 19 April 2010
- Page created, need help on correcting the spelling on the title. --UJ1A1985 03:05, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- Shit, I missed it... Does anyone save the original page before he blanked it? --SargentPickles 23:19, 19 April 2010 (EST)
Typo
Should be "CWCipedia Page" instead of "CWCpedia Page"
- I know, my error.--UJ1A1985 03:36, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Do we really need this?
I mean, this seems like it comes pretty close to violating the agreement. I know it's a Chris-Chan historical document, but it's not like we've mirrored every page on his website.--Beat 03:38, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- There's no personal information on here, it's using her pen name and it IS a Chris-Chan dox. I think it should stay here.--Blazer 03:39, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Something new for Chris and Remorse?
"But there was a Monkey in the works, and that was "Damien"'s Doing; SHE HAD TO HAVE A Facebook Page with her REAL NAME and LINKS to her FanFictions on it."
Oh, so it's her fault the trolls got her personal info. Chris couldn't possibly be to blame in the slightest.-trombonista 03:38, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- Chris and remorse is virtually unchanged from the draft I posted ages ago. If there's one page that could use a serious overhaul, that's it.--Beat 03:40, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Rename
Chris has removed personal references to The Wallflower's real name, in favor of her pen name. As precedence, we've mentioned her pen name else where and it's not quite as bad as her real name, though obviously someone could find her real name.
The wisest minds of CWCki (Clyde, Cogs, and myself) have agreed to rename this article to her pen name, but I have ruled that I will leave it up to you, the CWCki users to decide how we should handle this.
So I'm opening this up for discussion for renaming and vote whether we should rename it or not. --Champthom 03:52, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- Pen name's alright by me, seems like a decent compromise. At this point it's a finger-in-the-dike kind of situation, trying to totally hide her identity is becoming more than faintly silly. Dkaien 03:55, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- As Christorians, I think we should try to be as close to verbatim as possible, to be honest. I don't know if it's the best idea overall, but I think we owe it to the CWCki to do it. And gawd knows I love the CWCki like a child. --YawningSquirtleRedux 03:54, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- I'm good with the pen name over the current name. I think what Dkaien and YawningSquirtleRedux said pretty much sums up what I could.--Blazer 03:59, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- I'd rather not use her pen name, but it's right there on the wallflower main page so why not.--Beat 04:00, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
