Splitting up article?

Chris's court case has only just begun, and the info about it is going to keep increasing as time goes on. For clarity and size reasons, I think we should separate his arrest and his court case into separate pages - something like 'Incest arrest' and 'Chris's incest trial.' As is, the current article reads very awkwardly. --4CentUser (talk) 19:09, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

  • What about one called 1 August 2021, which chronicles the arrest, then a separate page about the court dates all together (unless they end up being a lot meatier, then we split them into individual pages)? --VoDKa (talk) 15:40, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
  • The page is quite small at the moment and splitting the topic up right now will only cause confusion; the topic of incest was originally just on the sex page, it became its own page only for the consequences of it to become yet another page; we really don't need 4 pages talking about the exact same thing, 3 seems a bit redundant frankly. --Necromaster (talk) 21:58, 29 August 2021 (UTC)

Merging this article with the main Incest article

I know I was proposing a split just a month ago, but I'm actually thinking now we should merge this with the main Incest article, possibly renaming it to 'Incest Saga' to cover the whole situation better. By the nature of the subjects of the articles, they have to discuss one another at length, making lots of redundant sections - but still, each page provides an incomplete picture of the timeline. I propose merging these articles, with separate sections for each stage of the timeline. Here's my basic idea for the structure:

1. Introduction (mostly copied from the Incest article) 2. Prior events (basically copied from the section of the same name on the Incest article) 3. A section covering the actual incest itself (from the incest article) 4. The leaked call and initial fallout (from the incest article) 5. Chris's time at the Inn and his arrest (cobbled together from parts of both articles) 6. Legal timeline (literally just the section from the Arrest & Court Case page)

Getting all the information in one place would help a lot with clarity imo. Thoughts? --4CentUser (talk) 22:44, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

I agree with this, having two articles that seem to be covering the same info yet are separate is quite confusing. I don't have much to add to the formatting discussion but I think that merging the two articles and changing the name of the old one would be the smart thing to do. I think that it may just be a better idea to rework the Incest page to be about Chris's fascination with the act (basically lifting most of the content from the Chris and sex page) and the communications revealing what he'd done, followed by a separate page covering the arrest. Otherwise, we're going to be dealing with a gigantic article with how long the legal coverage is going to end up being. KingClark (talk) 08:10, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
I'll echo the sentiment of KingClark. This page will most likely expand with a new section or two with the coming court case, I think that this page should be its own thing. The incest page should focus on Chris's past views of incest, his relationship with Barbra, and how Bella factored into all of that. Abaddon (talk) 08:18, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
I also like KingClark's suggestion. The only other thing I'd suggest in addition to that would be to move the section about the emergency protective order to this page, since it's more connected to the legal consequences than the act itself. The page could be renamed something like 'Incest legal consequences.' --4CentUser (talk) 13:49, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Rename

The fact that the title contains 'August 2021' is a little bit misleading, since it's way past August by now, and doesn't really describe the article well. I propose we rename the article to something a bit more accurate or concise. --4CentUser (talk) 21:04, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

  • A creative name has to be made for it though: the Jail of Fail saga? The Prison-chu saga? The Passion of the Chris?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Necromaster (talkcontribs) 22:00, 27 October 2021

"Second and third letters from jail" section

I don't think they deserve their own section. It could easily be condensed to a few sentences in the previous section. The first letter deserves one because Chris incriminated himself so deeply, and thus is relevant to the court case. But these don't really hold much relevance to the actual topic. --4CentUser (talk) 16:26, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

Sounds good. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 19:53, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

Jail vs Prison

Someone pointed out that that there's inconsistent usage of jail/prison and suggested that "prison" be renamed to "jail" for now since Chris has not yet been sent to prison. Thoughts? Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 19:01, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

I already changed the article name. I also feel that we should change all instances of "prison" to "jail" for consistency's sake. Psycho (talk) 19:06, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

Deferral

Do we have any real proof Chris's case got deferred? According to Vinelink he's still in custody though that might not be accurate given the case being sealed. There's a lot of reasons we haven't heard from Chris since the grand jury and we really need to avoid accepting speculation as fact. The looking forward section might also need a rewrite. --Finnegan (talk) 00:38, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

Heilberg had offered a motion for an autism disorder deferral, which is how we know that his case got deferred.Psycho (talk) 00:56, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
Deleted some paragraphs from Looking Forward that are outdated at this point. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 03:22, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

FAQ

Should the Kiwi Farms FAQ thread link stay or be removed? The author of the thread has noted that it is outdated now and has no plan to continue updating it. Alternatively, we could move the FAQ thread to an External Links section instead. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 19:39, 9 November 2022 (EST)

Deletion of Looking Forward section

Any objections to deleting that section? It is rather speculative and the assumptions are out-of-date. The case is also complicated with too many unknown factors. I think it would be best to continue noting down proceedings as they occur instead of trying to speculate. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 14:35, 17 January 2023 (EST)

Timeline of in-jail events?

I noticed this article focuses a lot more on the trial than Chris's actual life in jail; should we make a timeline for things that Chris has (even allegedly) gone through in jail? --Necromaster (talk) 11:49, 27th January 2023 (UTC)

What kind of things? Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 06:53, 27 January 2023 (EST)
Things he himself has confessed to and suggested he did within jail itself, such as his in jail purchase history (or at least the ones we know about like the prayer rugs), the time he apparently drew a portal onto his cell wall, his banning from the basketball court (and alleged un-banning), the dates of his jail drawings ect. The more I think about it, the more difficult this idea would be to implement. Necromaster (talk) 23:37, 01st Febuary 2023 (UTC)

Sighting

In the Alleged Sighting section it's written that Chris is wearing the same leggings from when he was arrested. But the leggings from his arrest have a design on them that's not in the alleged sighting photo. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 19:27, 30 March 2023 (EDT)

Chris also has his s-chu balls attached to his skirt, which wouldn't work without playing pokemon go. it also looks like he doesn't have them attached in the arrest video. Do we have any info if the things in Chris' room were brought to the jail as his personal effects? VoDKa (talk) 06:20, 31 March 2023 (EDT)
I think the entire section should just be deleted. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 16:25, 1 April 2023 (EDT)
And Chris looks much fatter than in the mugshot. Homsar (talk) 16:52, 1 April 2023 (EDT)

Alterations to online record

Looking at the latest update - File:Court Record - Greene Circuit Court - Incest - (Chris, CR22000141-00) - 25 August 2023 - Pleadings-Orders.png - and comparing to previous versions, the court staff has filled in some of the missing fields in the Pleadings/Orders section. However, they subtly changed some details. Some "Order" were changed to "Other", and the "Amen" remark was changed to "Amended". How should these changes be reflected in the transcript here?
