Chris uses the opportunity of speaking to the dad of his sweetheart by boasting of his now-legendary [[honest]]y, before flimsily attempting to defend himself from an angry father.

Their conversation is illuminating. What follows is probably the bluntest personal assessment Chris has ever received to date: Matt berates Chris for his [[Monthly tugboat|laziness]], [[Chris and his ego|egotism]], [[Chris and kindness|lack of empathy]], [[Chris and reality|inability to grow up]], [[Chris and health|unhealthy lifestyle]], [[obesity]], [[Women's rights|treatment of Kacey]] and general failure at life. To this day, Chris has never taken any of Matt and Kacey's advice to heart; throughout the call he retorts by saying that he leads a hard life, which includes such laborious tasks as doing menial [[chores]], [[CWC Fighter|mowing the lawn]] and ''[[Tour of Chris's House|cleaning the house]]''. Gay 4 Sonichu is the Internet's first web forum for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered Sonichu fans. Unsurprisingly, the message board was an attempt to bait Chris into a response by trolls, which Chris fell for hook, line, and sinker.

While Gay 4 Sonichu was very short term, with only one instance of direct contact with Chris (in the form of an IRC encounter between Chris and Gay 4 Sonichu founder Ignatius J. Reilly, PhD.) it had a long term impact. Reilly's paper on the homoerotic themes of Sonichu, "Heterosexual Homoeroticism in Internet Subcultures: A Case Study" (published in the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Subculture Studies, Fall 2009) seemed to hit Chris hard. Chris would also retcon aspects of his comic that could be taken to be gay, such as the Rainbow Chris scene from Sub-Episode 2 and redubbing the Sonichu Balls "Sonichu Crystals."
