Talk:TF2 Analysis

This is just me, but maybe this should be renamed to "List of people who have blocked Chris on Twitter", with his responses being a section below the people who have blocked him? But then again that's just a suggestion. --FromtheWordsofBR (talk) 03:12, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

I think this should simply be a subsection on the Twitter article. -Larry the Larryhog (talk) 04:00, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
I think this is important enough to have it's own article, it is pretty much the only thing he has been tweeting about other than brony babes. --DPS2004 (talk) 20:12, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
I agree that this should be its own article. I think it should be renamed to TF2 Analysis. Chris's commentary lately has made it evident that he's upset over being blocked by the bronies who produce that show, so it should have an article on it. This would also help differentiate it from Twitter blocks in general (i.e. Doopie's). Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 06:20, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
Any objections to renaming and revamping this to focus on TF2 Analysis? If not I'll rename it tomorrow. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 18:24, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
As convoluted as this article is, why is there no mention of Mad Munchkin, who was indirectly responsible for starting this saga? --Rossticus (talk) 15:07, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
She's in the list as AmyMethvenart. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 15:25, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

Merge page

Is it worth merging Untitled Sonichu comic with this page? It would offer Chris' own perspective of events. Having read the panels, it's also implied that the LEGO therapy video is a follow up to said comic - so probably best to mention too. --Rossticus (talk) 10:20, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

I'm not sure. As you mentioned, this article is already convoluted (and there's still a lot of missing info), so I'm not seeing where would be a good place to stick the info from the comics page. Maybe leave the Untitled Sonichu comic as a separate page (like the DR Wolf therapy video has its own page), and just mention them here? And since you brought it up, maybe the Untitled Sonichu comic should be renamed to Sonichu Special 5, since it seems more in line with stuff like Sonichu Special 1 than a full comic. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 12:06, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
I agree with it being in a similar vein as the Specials. Were the original "Special" comics referred to as such by Chris? Otherwise, it would feel like weird conjecture to refer to the new work as "Special 5". Regardless of how untidy this article is, I'm working on a prologue section, leading up to current events. It's more or less going to reference previous history of blockings and Doopie. --Rossticus (talk) 16:54, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
Awesome. And according to the talk page, none of the specials were named by Chris. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 20:22, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

Is it worth adding in the 'running into brick wall' gif that Chris kept using in his tweets?

If you google image search 'running into brick wall gif', the one Chris kept using is the first result. It's only 400 x 208, is it worth the space? Y0h 513nn R3n (talk) 16:30, 25 February 2019 (UTC)

I had the same idea. Might be worth putting in the bottom right overlay. You'll find the template on HarassCWCdirectly --Rossticus (talk) 16:48, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
It looks like the gif doesn't work in the corner of the page, unless you refresh a couple of times. I suggest just having a still image of the person hitting the brick wall --Rossticus (talk) 21:33, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Title change proposal

I've pretty much finished what I wanted to contribute to this article. I'm trying to find a way to integrate the Response to the blocks section with the previous section. All I can think of that can be added now is Chris' (calmer) reflection, following his Twitter rant on 22 January.

I'm writing now because I believe that the article title should be changed to something which is shorter (and hopefully more overall as it wasn't just TF2 Analysis). So I'm suggesting a few possible titles here:

Vaguer titles:

Thanks --Rossticus (talk) 11:51, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Fantastic work on the article. As for the title, I think the current one is okay. The problem with generalizing is it would both take the focus off the TF2 Analysis people (whose blocks are the fuel for what unfolded), and would imply that Chris was blocked by people in the fandom at large. There are only a few people in the blocked by list who aren't TF2 Analysis, and their blocks are incidental to the main drama. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 15:15, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
I wish to reiterate my initial proposal. The title still bothers me as it's overly complicated than it needs to be. In retrospect, I feel TF2 Analysis blocks or just TF2 Analysis sums up the article and at the same time offers greater ease of access for other editors needing to link. Rossticus (talk) 18:17, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
Alright. TF2 Analysis sounds good. Would only require a slight rewrite to the intro and shifting the TF2 Analysis section up to it. I'll Move the page tomorrow if there are no objections. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 19:08, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
I'll check in tomorrow and sort it out if a rework hasn't been done yet Rossticus (talk) 20:22, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
2019 Brony blocks? - klop (talk)
I think specifically naming TF2 Analysis would be best, since Chris's reaction was more about being blocked by that group rather than bronies in general. Also some stuff extends a bit further than the blocks, like his fantasies about being part of their group. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 13:27, 14 July 2020 (UTC)

Proposal to split page

There seems to be a lot to this particular saga. The stuff on the Soft Exile, while major, doesn't seem to encapsulate everything, as that doesn't include other important things like the Red vs Blue Reaction livestream. I was thinking we should have a separate page for the Soft Exile, and possibly one for the Brony Analysts. This page would be on the saga itself. Psycho (talk) 07:43, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
