Talk:Sonichu 9
To do
Summary of the three uncolored pages, including the dumbassery of dating education. --Champthom 13:17, 17 February 2009 (CET)
- Speculation section should be removed. Mall Conductor Bear 07:02, 11 May 2009 (CEST)
- The comic technically isn't finished. Some of the speculation can be compared to what Chris wanted originally. --Champthom 07:36, 11 May 2009 (CEST)
First three pages
Did anyone save the pages Chris recently posted to his site? I just went to sonichuandrosechu.com and it's down as of 5:50 P.M. EST. Could be a temporary thing, but if the rumors are true and Chris really has had his internet cut down, the website may have been a casualty. No big loss, since those uncolored pages were the only new content he's put up in months. I suggest they be archived here, since Chris's site has never been reliable anyway.Dethchemist77 23:54, 3 March 2009 (CET)
Wow, I'm slow
I didn't notice the pun about how Date Ed sounds "dated." Get it, Date Ed, dated? Congrats Chris, you have bested me ...THIS ROUND. --Champthom 09:00, 11 May 2009 (CEST)
- I got that, but somehow missed the inclusion of 3 new electric-hedgehogs on the cover. Are they from the Rainbow, or a new contrived device? Do they fart while dating? Will they save Christian, or just fuck each other? SUSPENSE~! Mall Conductor Bear 00:07, 19 May 2009 (CEST)
"If Sonichu #8 is any indication, expect to see a lot of gross PDA and condom discussions among the cast. "
Is this supposed to say PSA? If not, someone's gonna have to explain this acronym to me o_0 Sonicow 01:01, 3 June 2009 (CEST)
- PDA = Public Display of Affection (hugging, kissing, etc.) --Champthom 01:29, 3 June 2009 (CEST)
"The Saga Continues..."
Chris is slowly adding the colored/typed pages to the 'CWCipedia'. Spoiler: the worst fucking page is somehow made worse with contrasting colors. LBearington 05:44, 1 August 2009 (CEST)
Differences
We need to note differences between the original and the colored version (there are minor differences, including some changed text and such). --Champthom 10:24, 6 August 2009 (CEST)
Oh God ... Page 33 (part of the new 9 pages) - Silvana has a cameltoe ... urghh... I think I puked a little in my mouth. --Needlepants 03:34, 9 August 2009 (CEST)

"C Quarters" and "W Quarters" Gag
Does anyone know if the "C quarters/W quarters" thing was stolen from somewhere? --Spandam-sama 16:41, 16 August 2009 (CEST)
- According to one of the Miyamoto emails, Chris got the idea when he "woke up" one day, as if by divine inspiration: for the Sonichu game, instead of collecting rings Sonic-style, one would collect "C" quarters and "W" quarters, with ten "C" quarters equaling one "W." Which would make "C" "quarters" dimes or pennies, and likewise "W" "quarters" dollars or dimes. Unless the "W" quarter actually is 1/4th of a higher denomination of currency, which would make no flipping sense in the slightest. There's a reason we don't do shit like pieces of eight anymore. Also, those "C"s would be easy as hell to lose and prone to digging into your flesh if stuffed in a pocket. Ensign disposable 06:01, 13 October 2009 (CEST)
- I'm guessing that Chris sincerely does not realize that they're called quarters because they're a quarter of a dollar. --Champthom 00:58, 21 October 2009 (CEST)
- That has been my theory too. People often think far too much into what Chris says, when in reality, he just uses the words differently from the rest of humanity. "Quarters" is just his term for coins (never mind that the word has a secondary meaning), just like "comeuppance" is just his term for, you know, never mind that it has, you know, eh. Well, you got the picture! --wwwwolf (wake me when you need me) 22:26, 27 October 2009 (CET)

Okay, Silvana and Magi-Chan have met? Has Chris ever indicated this beforehand? --OFSheep 05:51, 13 October 2009 (CEST)

- They're psychic, so I presume he's going to handwave it by saying they've been in communication for a while. Because psychic = can do anything convenient at any time. I would also like to use this space to mention that Rosechu's lightning-bolt-sword-thing looks like two bananas. Ensign disposable 06:03, 13 October 2009 (CEST)

Wait why is Chris driving the van? Isn't he in the time vortex still?--Aginor27 00:29, 21 October 2009 (CEST)
- I forget where the discussion arose but the theory is that, like the other Transformer ripoffs, this is actually a hologram so the Transformer can go about without arousing suspicion of being a car without a driver. --Champthom 00:57, 21 October 2009 (CEST)
- There's two theories here; this is an hologram of Chris or Chris is way too moronic to write a good way out of the void. Guess where's my money's on? Griffintown 02:35, 21 October 2009 (CEST)
- The only credit I can give Chris is that he doesn't forget his stupid subplots that easily. From the jagged lines its supposed to be a hologram. He never bothers to explain at any point in the comics that the Autobots have holograms, though. --OFSheep 03:17, 21 October 2009 (CEST)

I can't believe it. I think I should have, but still. He RUINED timmy1984's video just by this one page! --Blazer 04:36, 27 October 2009 (CET)

Rosechu got captured that easily? Chris can't do anything right. I could make a whole article on the problems with it. For one, she can't electrocute the robot or anything? --OFSheep 21:06, 28 October 2009 (CET)

Is... Is that vacuum cleaner line possibly referring to Hocus Pocus? (At one point, a witch has to ride a vacuum because her broom was stolen.) If Chris gets his grubby hands anywhere near one of my childhood favorites, I WILL END HIM. --Lime 06:08, 2 December 2009 (CET)
- At this point it's safe to say everybody's favorite childhood cartoons and movies have been violated by Chris at this point. Except for the Real Ghostbusters and Harry Potter, praise be to Yevon. Also, on that subject, RPGs that aren't Pokemon. EnsignDisposable 06:15, 2 December 2009 (CET)
- Indeed. *silently weeps for Pokemon*
You know, thinking about it, it would be ironic if he did reference that movie, since it brings up virginity a lot. --Lime 05:26, 3 December 2009 (CET)

Wow, so, as the story is drawing to a close, we're learned a few things:
1) Sonichu does not kill. Everyone ELSE does, but not Sonichu. 2) Mourning period: 3 milliseconds. 3) Graduon hates Slaweel/Mary Lee Walsh (OMG an actual plot point!) 4) ...I don't think Chris is coming back on time! 5) What was the point of the Transformers and the Power Rangers cameo?
Anything else I'm missing?--Blazer 07:47, 6 December 2009 (CET)
How about explaining what the fuck happened on page 96, because I really do not at all see how Sonichu falling off of a ledge saves Slaweel. --Tristran 08:47, 6 December 2009 (CET)
Regarding...
2) I'll put in some internal links regarding that. 4) It is quite possible that Chris was killed in the Time Void and has been reincarnated into Reginald Sneasel...that is, it would be possible if Chris wasn't so goddamn autistic. 5) With Chris, there is never, EVER a point. Silly Blazer. Points are for normal people.--Icy 8:55, 6 December 2009 (CET)
It's Over
It's been over a year since Chris started working on Sonichu 9. And though Chris has decided to eject himself from his comics, he leaves a major plot hole in Crystal and the mirror. Aw, well. Typical Chris! --Blazer 02:35, 8 December 2009 (CET)
- How many plot holes are in Sonichu? Perhaps we should discuss this in the Sonichu continuity page. The Crystal thing has to be the biggest one yet. Maybe because I'm not intoxicated enough at the moment to think about it but since Slawheel is out of the picture, then how is he suppose to get Crystal if Mary is the one holding her?--Champthom 06:13, 8 December 2009 (CET)
"Creeps in the mind" and other things wrong with the comics articles.
In response to Freecell's question, I've never heard of the phrase "creeps in the mind" before. Even if it's legitimate, "comes to mind" is way better. I'm not sure how I missed it when I rewrote the Episode 20 section, but it indicates the problem with the articles for Sonichu #9 and #10.
I'm working on the summary for #10 right now, and it looks like diarrhea. Or, as the article would put it: "It proceeds to look like diarrhea." Seriously, every other sentence is about someone proceeding to do something. I think it's mostly because each paragraph was added as Chris updated the comic, so instead of looking like a summary, it reads more like a live blog of Chris updating the story. I don't know if Chris ever plans to continue the comics or not, but if he ever posts them three pages at a time, we really shouldn't make this mistake again.
Also, I think there needs to be some kind of rule that you have to read the comic before you can write about it. When I started working on Episode 20, the summary claimed that BILLY MAYS died trying to rescue Ivy. Then the Epsisode 21 article gives Chris shit for having BILLY MAYS alive again. Look, I know everyone loves to point out plot holes in Sonichu, but there's a really simple explanation for this, and it's that BILLY MAYS was never killed off in the first place. The comic says as much if you know where to look. Just as we shouldn't go out of our way to insult Chris in the articles, we shouldn't be creating errors where they don't exist.
I've been thinking about Clyde's complaint that the summaries are too damn long, and I realize that part of the problem is that they try to describe every silly thing in the comics when they don't need to. Sonichu 10 doesn't have to list the casualties of the 4-cent garbage Building, because we have an article for 4-cent_garbage.com to put that in. Sonichu 10 also doesn't have to tell us what "Revive Zordon" is about, because we have a whole article about it. In the same vein, I think we could really use some new articles dedicated to the content in the last three or four issues, like "The Battle of CWCville" for #9, and "Publication History of Sonichu #10" to explain why it was drawn out of order across 18 months. That way we could condense the comic articles down to actual summaries. Dethchemist77 11:30, 5 December 2010 (PST)
- Seconded. I think one of the main issues for writers is that the comics themselves are both A) hard to read on their own and B) hard to interface with on the site. Basically, the only way to write a summary is to either watch the audio books, which are sometimes painfully slow, or read the comic 2 pages at a time, which is arguably harder. I'll see if I can hammer out a better summary for a chapter by writing details down in Notepad and condensing, but there has to be a better way. Freecell 13:39, 5 December 2010 (PST)
More Family Guy inspiration?
Okay, this might just be a little coincidence but I have a feeling the scrapped McDonald's sex scene in the Date Ed episode could have been yet another Family Guy ripoff. I found this scene from the Family Guy episode 'Love, Blactually' and it hit me that (at least in my opinion) it looks suspiciously similar to the horror Chris planned. I also find it fishy that the episode was first aired in September 2008 - somewhat recent as of when Chris drew the comic and fantasized about being in the same act with Ivy.
I just thought I'd ask you guys if this is worth considering - sorry if it's a long shot! Amanitie (talk) 13:28, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
