:This article was split off from Chris and religion, where it was a section entitled Mysticism and sorcery; I would suggest Sorcery, or perhaps Chris and the occult for here. :At first I wasn't sure about making this a Chris And page but since you two are in favor, it sounds like a good idea. So there will be three And pages to cover his fantasies: Reality, Religion, and this one. :: Agreed. Perhaps Christ and the New Age might be a clearer description: the phrase explicitly embraces belief in oneself as divine, psionics, crystal and psychic healing, channelling and astral projection, creating one's own reality through positive thinking and uses of the word dimension that make me as a mathematician want to bash my skull in. Interesting, looking up Wishful Thinking it does describe Chris's outlook: "Wishful thinking describes decision-making and the formation of beliefs based on what might be pleasing to imagine, rather than on evidence, rationality, or reality."
Though Magical Thinking also describes it: "Magical thinking is the belief that one’s own thoughts, wishes, or desires can influence the external world. It is common in very young children. A four-year-old child, for example, might believe that after wishing for a pony, one will appear at his or her house. Magical thinking is also colloquially used to refer more broadly to mystical, magical thoughts, such as the belief in Santa Claus, supernatural entities, and miraculous occurrences."
MT also emphasizes his magical beliefs and it's mentioned in the article to refer to the Curseyehameha. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 19:11, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

I feel like one quote of moderate length or two short quotes showing past and present thoughts would be more appropriate then the current setup; its a little thing but it kind of get in the way of the meat of the article. The Patti quote is a memorable one, the mailbag quote is quite bulky and might be better off put somewhere in the article, and the father quote is too similar to the Patti one but does display a level of irreverence towards his dead father. I'd keep the Patti quote and put in something from one of Chris's more recent diatribes, I think the that time in the Doopie emails where he says he can fold paper with his mind and one day learn to fly might work well. What's a good page title? Mysticism and shamanism are defined as revolving around the connection with the spirit world, but Chris's beliefs extend beyond that (psychic powers, healing stones, etc). Maybe Occultism? Or Magic? Supernatural? Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 05:39, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
My vote would be for "Chris and the Supernatural" Duff101 (talk) 06:33, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
- This article was split off from Chris and religion, where it was a section entitled Mysticism and sorcery; I would suggest Sorcery, or perhaps Chris and the occult for here. This article's scope is different to Meditation (which is more deserving of the name Mysticism than this one), which is focused specifically on Chris's New Age practises. ChanOfTartary (talk) 09:03, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
- At first I wasn't sure about making this a Chris And page but since you two are in favor, it sounds like a good idea. So there will be three And pages to cover his fantasies: Reality, Religion, and this one. Also, I was looking through Wikipedia and saw they have a page called Paranormal that's an umbrella term for several beliefs that Chris has - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paranormal; stuff like Astral Projection, Spirit Possession, Magic, Psychics, etc, are on there. So maybe we should match that and call the page Chris and the paranormal? Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 08:47, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed. ChanOfTartary (talk) 15:20, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
Revisiting this, Magical thinking might be a more fitting title/scope since it also describes why Chris holds his beliefs. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 21:55, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- Why not just call it “Chris and Magic” or something? PsychoNerd054 (talk) 22:42, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- Magic implies it's just an interest to Chris. But it's more than that for him - it's a full-on coping method, and I feel that would be better highlighted with the scope as magical thinking. After doing some general editing, I don't think that's enough for a Chris And article, since material would overlap with the Chris and Reality article. Hurtful Truth Level (talk) 23:28, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- I think I will table Wishful thinking since Chris has a lot of wishes for their life: both Chris and CWCville. --Little Owl (talk) 12:24, 21 April 2020 (UTC)

Too many quotes?
