The book was published via Amazon on 19 [[May 2021]]. Chris was made aware of it a few days later and commented on it over Twitter. He purchased a copy of it and made his own cover for it as he didn't "have to feel bored in with looking at a [[pickle]]." Upon browsing the book's Disclaimer chapter, Chris commented about a nitpick with its contents, insisting that his delusions were real. Aside from it, he mentioned liking the book so far and thanked the author, giving it a glowing five-star review.
In June 2017, [[Christian Weston Chandler|Chris]] began to take his [[Patreon]] account more seriously and recommenced drawing Sonichu comic pages. He has gotten several hundred dollars per month for his efforts, and payments continued until 2 August 2021, when his Patreon account was shut down. As a result, begging had temporarily subsided.

The Financhu Crisis is a term coined by users from Kiwi Farms to describe the steep decline in the Chandler family's financial management beginning in early 2016. Signs of the Chandlers' worsening finances were made apparent by the increasing amounts of begging videos and donation requests on YouTube and Facebook.
