Notable is a video message to real life [[trolls]], including several [[CWCki]] editors. The key component of this message is that, in a shocking turn of events, Chris was engaging in the most elaborate trolling scheme in history, and has duped us all masterfully. (If only that were true.)

Beginning on 1 [[May 2023]], '''sightings of Chris''' were reported in various places around {{w|Chesterfield County, Virginia}}. From [[June 2023|June]] onwards, Chris has been spotted in a number of locations around the state of Virginia, including {{w|Williamsburg, Virginia|Williamsburg}}, {{w|Lynchburg, Virginia|Lynchburg}}, {{w|Bedford, Virginia|Bedford}} and [[Ruckersville]]. In [[2024]] Chris began to be spotted in [[Finland]] and at [[conventions]].


To sell the deception, [[Chris]] changed his look to have a normal hairstyle, [[Krapple|a goatee]], sunglasses instead of large, square [[Pedo-Glasses|pedo glasses]], plain blue T-shirt and jeans, [[navy]] blue sleeveless unbuttoned shirt over his t-shirt, dog-collar bracelets, his forearms appear to be covered in thick tattoos, complements the tattoo sleeve from the [[Fuck Quest|fuck quest]], no [[Amnyfest Ring]], and a chain with some dog tags, instead of his trademark [[Sonichu medallion]]. Of course, the disguise unintentionally gave away the truth: the lack of the ring and medallion suggested that Chris was not entirely TRUE and HONEST when he made this video, something that he indeed confirmed later.
Most of the sightings are initially posted to the [[r/ChrisChanSonichu|r/ChrisChanSonichu subreddit]] or to [[Twitter]]. Most sightings to date have involved Chris shopping. As of [[August 2023|August]], it has been confirmed that Chris once again has his [[Son-Chu|own car]]. On several occasions, Chris was seen accompanied by [[Flutter]], which has led to speculation that she might be his newest [[sweetheart]].

On 27 March 2023, Chris was released from jail, with the only explanation being "released by court order". Beginning on 1 May 2023, sightings of Chris were reported in various places around Chesterfield County, Virginia. From June onwards, Chris has been spotted in a number of locations around the state of Virginia, including Williamsburg, Lynchburg, Bedford and Ruckersville. In 2024 Chris began to be spotted in Finland and at conventions.

Most of the sightings are initially posted to the r/ChrisChanSonichu subreddit or to Twitter. Most sightings to date have involved Chris shopping. As of August, it has been confirmed that Chris once again has his own car. On several occasions, Chris was seen accompanied by Flutter, which has led to speculation that she might be his newest sweetheart.

These factors combined, along with Chris's diminished internet presence, have caused sightings of Chris to remain much more common than they ever were before his arrest.
