November 2009 opens with the outrageous denouement, and inevitable failure, of Chris's blackmail scheme. Simultaneously, he attempts to win the affections of Kacey by demonstrating his strength, charm, and creativity, but is cockblocked time and time again. He even goes so far as to depict himself shooting Liquid in a controversial Sonichu Special. In a rare occurence, Chris weeps on video not once, but TWICE, consecutively, over Kacey's upcoming marriage. Possible reasons for this are soon revealed in phone audio recordings leaked by Bryan Bash, which contain intense verbal conflicts between Chris, Kacey, her father, and Liquid.

But more quickly than it began, it is over. In mere days, Chris is back in Smug Mode, showing off his newly received certificate of Sonichu's registration. It is this event that seems to renew his passion for Sonichu, as he soon after promises to update Sonichu 9 with at least one page per day. He also begins answering a mass of fan mail on CWCipedia. Chris's answers provide alarmingly insightful glimpses into his mind. His recent occupations cause a temporary drought of videos, save the Sonichu presentation videos, in which he tries to promote Sonichu to the "business people", and the Sonichu Powerpoint videos. Speculation that these events are a return to pre-2007 Chris continues.
