For months, Sockness tried to manipulate Chris into meeting in person, to onlookers' alarm. Yet when Sockness finally set out to travel cross-country to [[14 Branchland Court]] in late September 2019, Chris rebuffed these efforts with the help of the [[Watchmen]]. Rehabilitation attempts over the following two months, at one point going even so far as manipulating Chris into mutual [[sweetheart|flirting]], could not ultimately repair their [[Heart Level|broken relationship]], and by the end of [[November 2019]] they rejected each other again.
