Spazkid
Born on September 7, 1990, Cory J. Beck, known by his online handles Spazkid and Spazkidin3D, is a popular animator on Youtube and a main member of SleepyCabin. He is best known for the animations, Powertrip (+18), Pokemon Spread (+18), and Egorapture. Cory is also popular for his work with Shadman, which consists mainly of adult cartoons, and is occasionally streamed on Shad's Picarto TV channel. He is a recurring host on the SleepyCast and is known for his nonsensical stories and overactive attitude.
Discovering Chris Chan
When Spazkid first discovered Chris in 2007, he, like many others at the beginning, thought Chris was a troll and all his shenanigans were just an act. But when he eventually discovered that he was legit, he was fascinated and went along with the whole trolling biz for four years by creating the animated series. It should be noted that thanks to the series, its pretty much how he got his start and earn a huge following, with his channel having over 500000 subscribers.
The Animated Series
The series centers around the misadventures of Chris Chan and Sonichu with each episode being around 1 minute to 6 minutes long. For four years, it ran for two seasons, with the first season consisting of 10 episodes and the second one only two. The series was a way to make a mockery out of Chris by making him look like a bigger idiot than he already is and with him always ending up in each episode being killed, injured, humiliated or doing something disgusting/stupid. Unlike the comics, Chris rarely wins and is rightfully told off many times, except by Sonichu- who loves and adores his father
Since the series is a mashup of both Chris real-life adventures and his comics, a lot of plot elements are incredibly exaggerated version of some sagas and his comics or at the least, reference to them, such as in one episode when a ninja came and stole Chris medallion and shove it up his own ass is an obvious reference to the BlueSpike saga, or Chris masturbating in a cup while watching Transformers and then drinking it. Many characters from both sagas and his comics make appearances such as Rosechu, Jimmy Hill, Megan, etc. The series also does things that Chris would absolutely hate, such as making Sonichu be abusive to Rosechu, him and Sonichu being engaged in gay sexual acts and even Chris being raped by a black guy.
The animation was animated in MS paint, with the style being kinda reminiscent of Ren and Stimpy in a way to make the characters look more grotesque than they already are. Its also noted that many of the characters are drawn differently each time they are on screen. This may be a reference to Chris's many drawing styles- how he never looks the same in any drawings he does, and some of the characters are drawn differently than other panels.
It should also be known that Liquid Chris himself joined along and provided the voice of Chris Chan in some episodes mostly since he was at the time one the few people who could imitate Chris Chan perfectly. When it wasn't Liquid doing the voice, the others time, it was Spazkid himself- or what appears to be audio clips from Chris's various videos, such as the singing to "So Need A Cute Girl (I Have A Boyfriend", and the line "boobies...mmmm, gorgeous"
Season 1
Episode 1
Episode one opens with a narrator welcoming the viewer to CWCville, saying how the love is forbidden and the population of virgins is 98%. The scene cuts to the home of Sonichu and Rosechu as they discuss the sex they just had (for 4 hours as the narrator says). Sonichu suggests a trip to visit his father (Chris), and Rosechu makes a mention to Episode 17, to which she accidentally refers to it as Issue 17. Sonichu smacks her and corrects her harshly. The next scene shows Sonichu and a beat up Rosechu walking outside, where they run into Blake/Black Sonichu (shortly being depicted as a chimp), who is publicly having sex with a blowup doll. Sonichu and he get into a verbal argument, and Chris shows up to stop the nonsense. Sonichu is excited by his father's appearance as a 'censored' image fills the screen, as the narrator verbally depicts Sonichu sucking on Chris's manboobs. A Jerkop appears to stop their love, and Sonichu is horrified by this, screaming "Oh no, its a JERKOP...A BLACK ONE"
The episode ends on this cliffhanger, the Narrator asking the audience if the Jerkop will be stopped if Megan will be freed from the mirror and if the seven Sonichus will ever be found.
Episode 2
The episode opens with Sonichu and Rosechu in fighting stances, ready to fight the Jerkop, who orders them to buy him KFC. Chris steps in to take the glory, opting to use his Sonichu medallion to transform and fight (which is depicted as being Chris with a blue Pikachu-ear hat on). The censored image appears again as the Jerkop sexually assaults Chris, then pees on him. Chris is shown laying facedown covered in urine, declaring "all in a day's work!". Sonichu is proud of his father as he beats his Duck over Rosechu. The Next Day, the trio are at the mall, Chris being seen with the straw and sign as Sonichu sits next to him. Chris is angry that his sexist and racist sign has not gotten him laid yet:
“ | Hey there Girls,
Lookin for a girl whos into 27 Years Virgins, who still piss themselves and has a tiny lopsided penis. No Darkies ): < |
” |
Chris's sign |
Sonichu inspects the sign and agrees that its good. Rosechu walks in (with a boner, referring to the r34 images). Rosechu and Sonichu playfully jab at one another, but when Rosechu lightly nudges him, Sonichu snaps and beats the crap out of her while Chris stands. Rosechu lies crippled and bloodied, while Chris shrugs this off and starts to leave. A ninja suddenly appears, grabs Chris's medallion, and shoves it up his own butt
The narrator closes by asking if Chris-chan will ever get his medallion back, if Rosechu press charges against Sonichu for his abuse, and if Chris will ever touch real china
Episode 3
The episode starts off with a recap of the last episode-the medallion was stolen. Then cuts to another censored scene- the narrator describes this as being an orgy between Sonichu, Rosechu, and Chris. As the two guys comment about the events, Chris says that it would be great if the events were a game. Sonichu encourages him to go to Nintendo with the idea, and the two make out. Chris sends in his idea and meets with Nintendo executives. They harshly turn down his idea, while Chris naively believes they will consider his Sonichu idea. Off-screen, the executive crap on Chris's face and Chris ends up in the hospital with salmonella. Sonichu declares they are in a pickle, while a Pickle character cries "oh, Sonichu!". The two laugh for a second, then Sonichu snaps once more, then rabidly shakes the pickle in his mouth like a ragdoll while the Pickle cries out to stop
Episode 4
The title is quickly referred to "Chris-Chan Saves The Planet", before being quickly scrapped. In the recap, the narrator says nothing happened, and confusedly mentions a guy in a pickle suit before saying the story sucked. Chris Chan is in his room playing Guitar Hero with no shirt on. Chris declares how the song was easy and talks about how thanks to Sonichu fans, he acquired a gift card to GameStop, with the chance of appearing in a future Guitar Hero game. Sonichu, butt-fisting a random goat, declares how he is proud of his father while the goat craps on him. Caveman Chris goes to the internet to check on his fans and pulls up the Animated Series out of the twenty-five hundred Youtube results on his name. Chris becomes angry at this and craps himself, calling out to Miss Allison to come and wipe his butt. Allison is annoyed and horrified to do so as Chris instructs her to clean under the pickle as well. Allison mutters to herself how much she hates her job.
Chris then checks on his Little Big Planet level, only to find he is at the bottom of the ratings, cutting to Chris looking like Charlie Brown and declaring "good grief", followed by a laugh track. Rosechu tries to tell him that the others may have put tons of effort into their levels but is then mercilessly abused by Sonichu, being beaten with a metal bat, a dryer, a chainsaw, lemon juice, a dryer again, another chainsaw, and more lemon juice. Mary Lee Walsh then breaks into the house via the window, declaring that though he beat her up in Soul Caliber 3, he couldn't do it IRL. Chris-Chan instructs Sonichu to attack. The scene cuts to footage of a brown bear standing in a river, with the dramatic music. The scene then cuts to Mary Lee Walsh, crying out "my one weakness!", and melts for some reason. Sonichu says he's glad that's over with, and goes back to butt-fisting the goat. The gory pile that is Rosechu tries to talk but is again beaten by Sonichu in the earlier fashion. Chris and Sonichu laugh, but Mary Lee Walsh, before she fully melts, presses a button that sets off a charger that was under the house, and Megan is freed from the mirror (mentioned in Episode 1). She declares Chris is going down and wields her Yu-Gi-Oh cards
The narrator ends with the questions of Megan defeating her captor if Jimmy Hill will assert his righteousness, and asking who will clean up the mess on the floor (meaning Rosechu's gory pile)
Episode 5
The episode begins with Megan about to deliver the finishing blow to Chris (presumably in a Yu-Gi-Oh style battle), when Bionic throws a basketball at her face, knocking her out and leaving her face a bloodied mess, Bionic saying "Go Fish, Jerkop". Chris says hello to Bionic and asks how he is. Bionic responds with a slightly sarcastic comment about sucking his girlfriend's pickle, while Chris sighs, saying Bionic is lucky to have someone special in his life. Megegi the skunk appears (with a boyish appearance and voice, hinting they may be a transwoman). Bionic declares he must go tend the beast and leaves Chris.
The scene cuts to PVCC where Mary is reading while Graduon yells at her. He asks why the Chaotic Combo have not been stopped, and why Chris is still mayor. To shut him up, Mary shoves the staff up herself while Graduon pleads. The ninja from episode 2 appears. Mary asks if he has ahold of the medallion. Upon learning he shoved it up his butt, she asks for a recording, to which the ninja says he does not have. Mary becomes angry, saying the video was for her sexual pleasure, and fire crabs from her china at the ninja, who screams in agony. Mary then yells for her minion to get bug spray for the china.
The episode cuts to Chris, Bubbles, presumably Lolisa, and Angelica having a tea party. Angelica talks about a dream she recently had in which God appeared, and told her he was going to have his way with her, and he could do so because he was God and made her. After that moment, she happily declares its tea time. Wild comes in, but is suddenly run over by the Ghost Buggy.
Then Rosechu's head randomly explodes.
Reason For Cancellation
Years later after the series ended abruptly, in a podcast called Sleepycast, Spazkid revealed that the reason why he stopped abruptly the series was because it became sadder the more Chris Chan went on and he starting feeling bad for him( as well that Chris wasn't relevant anymore), especially when he found out that Chris's father died and later became a tomgirl, though he still thinks its funny that Chris still freaks out about Sonic to this day. He mentioned that he still gets lots of tweets from die-hard fans asking him if he could bring back the series only for him to say no and that they should just let it die.
“ | Chris-Chan is—he’s an enigma which to so many people—they thought he was a troll. Because they’re like, “there’s no way this motherfucker is real” because he’s like the saddest human being ever. And it’s SAD because it’s like… I spent four years of my life fucking with him and people are like, “bring it back!” And I’m like, “NO! LET IT DIE.” It’s like depressing—it’s not the golden age—it’s the depressing age. | ” |
Spazkid, rebuking the weens. |
Despite him feeling remorse for his action toward Chris, he still doesn't hesitate in calling him a retard and being aware that Chris is still a despicable human being.
Reception
The series was met with positive reception all over the internet with many claiming it to be the best-animated representation of Chris.
Chris Chan Thoughts?
In an interview, when asked if Chris has seen the animated series, he replied by saying that he still hasn't seen it, though it can be assumed that when he eventually does, he will be incredibly upset about it, kinda like when he saw the Documentary of him.
Most likely, he will demand a new series be made by Spazkid and change everything, glorifying him and his characters- as he wished for Sachumo to do with the documentary
Trivia
- In episode 5, when Mary Lee Walsh ask the ninja who stole Chris medallion if he recorded him shoving it up his own ass, in which the answer was no, this is clearly a reference to when Bluspike forced Chris to shove bits of his medallion up his on own butthole but (thankfully) forgot to record the scene.
- Chris parents are only referenced once throughout the whole series, that is in episode 2 of season 2.
- Unlike Chris comic in which he the mayor and everyone loves him, in the show, he pretty much despises by everyone ( minus the Sonichu gang of course).
- In episode 9, when Chris looks at a picture of Ivy and replies to Rosechu, who ask him if he was ok, by saying: I'll never be ok, not since the incident clearly making reference to the Ivy saga.
- Just like in real life during that time, Chris was obsessed with losing his virginity even though, in the show, he already lost it when he had sex with Sonichu.
- Unlike in the comics, where Sonichu and Rosechu are grossly infatuated with one another and constantly declare their love, the animated series shows Sonichu being abusive to Rosechu, who usually ends up horribly mangled/dead in each episode- or the two are having sex.
- In episode 3, Chris goes to Nintendo to get a game made of his life after having sex with Sonichu and Rosechu. This is a reference to when Chris actually sent Nintendo his Sonichu idea, and they turned it down.
- Episode 6 uses audio from Chris's "original" song "So Need A Cute Girl (I Have A Boyfriend)".
- Episode 2 has Chris loitering/soliciting in the mall with Sonichu. Two references are in this scene- the Oversized Straw from Issue 4 Sub Episode 7, and the attraction sign.
- Episode 7 and 8 is heavily based on Issue 8- Sonichu and Rosechu find images of her online with a penis, and she responds by taking nudes of herself to prove she is all woman. Unlike in the comic, where Sonichu throws up at the images, he jerks off to them. Then the two go to the 4 cent Garbage building. Episode 8 starts with Rosechu's birthday, Bubbles sneaking off to Blake's, and then the beach scene from the comic
- Episode 10 has a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure reference. When Rosechu shows Sonichu a picture she drew of them. Sonichu is animated in JJBA style, with audio from the anime dubbed over him.
