Site Archive
Thanks to Clyde Cash, here's a site archive for Chris's sites. There's newish stuff (or rather, stuff that went unnoticed or retrieved from archives). Let's try and get stuff from his Hot Wheels page into the article, see if there's any of his Bioncle shit for the Lego article, find new stuff and make articles for it (like Hotel Ricky Ricardo) and pretty much just incorporate stuff. To get started, here's a zip with new-ish stuff. --Champthom 22:52, 27 October 2009 (CET)
Gold Star Bounty
Someone do me a favor and turn our beloved CWCki intro logo (this) and the one in the corner (note to self - find exact image) to make it look like Liquid. First person to do so gets a Gold Star Bounty Award for their page. --Champthom 15:29, 22 October 2009 (CEST)
I've got about CWC-level skills when it comes to image manipulation, but here goes nothing. [1]. Blech, I don't even want to try the image in the corner. --Jump 01:12, 27 October 2009 (CET)
Memo on adding shit
People, don't fuck with. I thought it was a bit out of character for Chris to use the word "cripple" as mentioned in a recent edit in the context of the You know what, I HATE ME TOO!!!. I looked at the linked ED edit (another good reason to cite your sources) and low and behold, turns out Chris never said he got his ass handed to him "handed by a cripple" or beat up "by someone old enough to be [his] mom." Don't add shit to historical documents, leave historical documents exactly as Chris had them (exception is adding wiki links for clarifying things).
Seriously, people who feel compelled to insert non-Chris stuff into historical documents will get fucking banned. --Champthom 01:11, 5 October 2009 (CEST)
- As a historian in training I agree with this shit. I think the guy who did this was one of these faggots from ED who think that "everything should have lulz added". This is Chris we're talking about, it's lulzy enough. If Chris becomes even more lulzy, I'm going to need a holiday. RachmaninovDESU 03:30, 10 October 2009 (CEST)
- I'm just kind of surprised anyone was stupid enough to fuck with that shit in the first place. --Jump 01:12, 27 October 2009 (CET)
What to do with the left column (IMPORTANT TYPE POLL
Okay, cogs thinks that the CWCipedia Tracker should be on the right hand column and I'm inclined to agree. Problem is, there's still a huge gap beneath the DYK and we can't display like, more DYK because otherwise we'd have everything from DYK on there. Instead, we're soliticting suggestions on what to put there.
So far, I've suggested a "This Day in Christory," outlining a historical Chris moment from the day in question, though this won't work for every day and it'd be tricky to automate the process.
So let's brainstorm some ideas and the best one will get implemented onto the front page. --Champthom 21:57, 29 September 2009 (CEST)
- I only suggested sticking the CWCkipedia Tracker over to the left in the interest of balancing out the columns, but thinking about it it would probably be best suited under Da Update as they're similar enough things. A featured PVCC thread could be cool, but I haven't joined the PVCC so I don't know the quality of threads there. --Sonicow 00:07, 30 September 2009 (CEST)
- Man, you guys sure are good at brainstorming --Sonicow 21:11, 8 October 2009 (CEST)
- i'll have a go at coming up with a way to automate a "This Day in Christory" feature. i don't really know what else we could put on there --cogsdev/vedsgoc 03:47, 10 October 2009 (CEST)
- also, we should maybe remove some of the old entries from da update and cwcipedia tracker. they're getting a bit long --cogsdev/vedsgoc 11:30, 20 October 2009 (CEST)
Mary Sue vs Gary Stu
Since this is a trans-page thing, I'll bring it here. I strongly lean towards the use of Mary Sue when referring to a thinly veiled fictional characterization of the author (such as Sonichu for Chris). "Gary Stu" is one of those stupid words like "Fireperson" or "Firewoman." I tend to view Mary Sue to be a gender neutral term, like how "mankind" does include women and not just men (and I'll be damned if I start spelling women as "womyn") and it also goes along with Chris's gender identity issues. That's my two cents at least. --Champthom 00:10, 29 September 2009 (CEST)
- I could only find one useage of "Gary Stu", on Pickle, and I've changed it. So if they're essentially all Mary Sue anyway we may as well stick with it. --Sonicow 00:11, 30 September 2009 (CEST)
Vandalism
Currently undoing vandalism by It sure is nice of the princess to invite us over for a picnic GAY LUIGI?!?, banhammer required. Sonicow 18:09, 23 September 2009 (CEST)
- Perhaps we should do something about registration to prevent the daily troll we get to this wiki? Or do we not mind having to clean up after some dipshit every day? Possibly even the same dipshit, given the similarity in all the troll attempts? Ensign disposable 22:54, 24 September 2009 (CEST)
- it's only one person, cleaning it up isn't really any trouble. but if enough of you want me to, i'll restrict registration to deal with it. here would be a good place to discuss how it should be handled --cogsdev/vedsgoc 23:00, 24 September 2009 (CEST)
- Restricting access will stop a lot of trolls and probably would get rid of most of the problems. Champthom brought up a good point though: it is supposed to be a public wiki open for everyone, and restricting access goes against the whole idea of an open wiki. There's no nice solution for the vandalism. :( SirCucumber 00:19, 25 September 2009 (CEST)
- Not really a big fan of restricting access. We're not really in a position of rejecting people who want to contribute to the wiki, especially when we could use people who actually know how to edit wikis and not just people who know about Chris (not that the latter is bad, but it'd be cool if there were more guys who knew how to do stuff with MediaWiki). I really don't like the vandalism but I'd rather have it dealt with some extension (if possible) or a bot, and maybe get some sysadmin(s) who can patrol recent changes regularly. --Champthom 00:34, 25 September 2009 (CEST)
- I don't know, with that last vandal that Clyde just got rid of, it wouldn't hurt to at least disable account creation for a few days. Also, we might want to lock the Main Page and the user spaces of the three admins; those seem to be the most popular targets for the troll(s). --Lime (Scold? | Undo?) 06:52, 25 September 2009 (CEST)
- right now the best solution is just to give anti-vandalism powers to more people. i'll sort this out with champthom later. right now what's bothering me more than the vandalism is that the front page needs another box below "did you know"... --cogsdev/vedsgoc 09:22, 25 September 2009 (CEST)
- Why don't we move over the CWCkipedia Tracker? I don't really like it being above Da Update, Da Update is pretty high priority. --Sonicow 22:13, 25 September 2009 (CEST)
- I agree with Cogsdev. The vandalism yesterday was manageable with the default editing options and the user contributions page, but anti-vandalism powers being given to more users would probably be the best solution to counter vandals using scripts or multiple vandal raids. Restricting access to CWCki would do more harm than good unless it was very minor restrictions. Also, I agree with Sonicow regarding the matter of reordering Da Update above the CWCkipedia Tracker, as it was before the tracker was added. Especially given the fact Chris doesn't appear to be updating it majorly.--Ror 23:03, 25 September 2009 (CEST)
- sorry about the mess on recent changes, i forgot to apply ?bot=1 --cogsdev/vedsgoc 20:28, 29 September 2009 (CEST)
Moves
Cogs has apparently disabled moving on ALL pages for non-sysop users. Personally I find it annoying since sometimes moves are valid but moving pages is the most popular form of vandalism and it's a pain to reverse, so stopping moving at all works. If you think a page should be moved, comment on the talk page and it'll be moved as soon as possible. --Champthom 05:04, 22 September 2009 (CEST)
FUCK YES
Welcome back CWCki, I've missed you so. Sonicow 17:21, 18 September 2009 (CEST)
- Indeed. For those curious, this was because 110mb sucks ass, not due to counter trolls or something stupid like that. --Champthom 08:58, 19 September 2009 (CEST)
Memo on videos
1) Please, whenever possible, use TheCWCvilleLibrary links whenever possible. They devote themselves to authoritative copies of Chris's videos and they're not namefags trying to get traffic to their other shitty videos so they can get e-fame like some Chris mirrors do.
2) We should try to document what Chris originally calls his videos (even if it's something that is useless like ECV 00095) just so we have record of when Chris is too lazy to rename his videos. Fortunately, the lesser mirror channels use the original titles, lol.
--Champthom 19:40, 11 September 2009 (CEST)
- Just FYI, I have about 90% of the original names. Lately he's been getting really fucking lazy though. --Whoreos n' Milf 01:53, 10 October 2009 (CEST)
- If we know the original titles of videos, we can then re-name the article pages for those videos whatever makes the most sense, simply adding a note within the opening line of each article page that says "...originally titled 'blah blah blah'". Article page titles could start to make a lot more sense that way, since we could disregard Chris's official titles without neglecting to mention what they originally were. I'd be all for that kind of change! Llort 02:45, 10 October 2009 (CEST)
- I forget where I said this but we really should be saying "officially..." not "originally..." "Originally" makes it sound like videos like War Paint Video is the official name and that it was changed at some point. --Champthom 03:33, 24 October 2009 (CEST)
- My bad. I'll change it.--Beat 03:49, 24 October 2009 (CEST)
WE'RE BACK
In the event we go down again, someone do us a huge favor and back shit up. Srsly. --Champthom 10:27, 24 August 2009 (CEST)
- CWCki Archive Team? There are a few existing scripts out there... Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to customize/optimize anything to actually be useful in this task. Also, restoration could be another issue altogether. LBearington 05:20, 25 August 2009 (CEST)
- We have a backup project here to have as a backup CWCki in case 110mb decides to fag up on us. It's a tedious and ghetto way of backing shit up (copying and pasting everything from the CWCki onto there) but it gets the job done. Between myself, Bystander and a few other people, we've gotten about
1/31/2 of all the CWCki articles onto there. The admin still needs to activate uploading images in addition to activating basic scripts to allow for logic (to use templates like Quote) and then we'll really be in business. --Champthom 06:01, 25 August 2009 (CEST)- Copypasting???? In Year of GodJesus's Grace 2009? =) Would you kindly take a look at Special:Allpages, Special:Export and Special:Import. Export can be done by any user, but Import requires sysop privileges in the backup wiki. I'm also fairly certain I've seen some scripts that can export the wiki fully. I'm also not sure what sort of tools 110mb lets you use to access the command line, but in case it doesn't give you much control, there's PHP Shell which probably lets you run the scripts maintenance/dumpBackup.php and maintenance/importDump.php. --wwwwolf (wake me when you need me) 08:29, 3 September 2009 (CEST)

PRO TIP
Use [[Wikipedia:ArticleNameHere|Your Text]] to link directly to Wikipedia. For instance, enter [[Wikipedia:Pickle|Pickle]] and you'll get Pickle.
Neat, eh? Now to do this for the external links to Wikipedia we have. --Champthom 13:58, 13 August 2009 (CEST)
CWCipedia Tracker?
Something I just thought of is that we could have a sort of a version of Da Update strictly for CWCipedia related updates, keeping track of new articles created on the CWCipedia so people can see what lulzy new things Chris is saying.
Any objections? Thoughts? Inputs? --Champthom 08:51, 6 August 2009 (CEST)
Sounds like a good idea to keep everyone on the level. --Jump 04:17, 17 August 2009 (CEST)
Operation Incorporation
Chris has been adding a shit ton of information on CWCipedia. While not major breaking stuff, mostly things to the Sonichu canon like where Sonichu and Rosechu got married (the articles on them still do not reference the fact they are married), stuff about PVCC, etc.
The idea (or at least part of the idea) about CWCipedia is so we have a publicly available source of information from Chris himself so we can improve information here on the CWCki.
I do understand that we've been occupied by Liquid Chris saga but nonetheless, some of the stuff on CWCipedia is gold and really should be more incorporated into articles. --Champthom 13:40, 5 August 2009 (CEST)
Yeah, updating is needed. Stupid Chris decided rewrite most of the canonical details, making everything PC. Not to mention every now and then he lets something hilarious/disturbing slip: "The Dating Education Classes can best enforce the Natural Man-and-Woman Pairings/Couples; the homosexual count would be reduced." --Jump 04:21, 17 August 2009 (CEST)
IBAChandler vs lBAChandler
If you're going to cite Chris commenting on YouTube, please be sure it's not from lBAChandler (which is from the troll formerly known as BILLY MAYS). That account has videos like "Peggy Hill taught me Spanish" while the real Chris's account, well, doesn't. I've seen at least two different people fall for this and I'd rather not have repeated some of the rumor mongering that was once prevalent on ED (such as Chris spreading peanut butter on his duck). --Champthom 09:01, 3 August 2009 (CEST)
Fan works Namespace
so i've been thinking, there's a load of "fan"-made CWC stuff on PVCC(1 and 2) that will probably be lost in the sea of new threads over time and eventually forgotten. so i propose a new fan works namespace on the CWCki in which all of these productions can be archived, categorized and saved for future generations to enjoy. it also provides new ways to contribute; if you don't want to edit articles, you can write stories or draw things instead. we need a good name for the namespace, though, as well as details on how exactly it will work. --cogsdev/vedsgoc 01:28, 28 July 2009 (CEST)
- I was trying to add notable PVCC works to the Private Villa of Corrupted Citizens (message board) page, but beyond CWC.wad and a few significant "essays" I couldn't think of anything to add. As for a good name, we could stick with the one we already have "Troll Productions".--Super Fighting Robot Megaman! 01:38, 28 July 2009 (CEST)
- regards finding an appropriate name, it should be one short word. like the existing namespaces; "Image:", "CWCki:", "Talk:", etc. --cogsdev/vedsgoc 05:31, 28 July 2009 (CEST)
- You read my mind :3. Seriously, a Fan: namespace would be ideal for this. I myself had reservations about promoting fan works here (as in being like "FEEL FREE TO UPLOAD YOUR SHIT HERE") but I figure that ED pretty much does that and it seems to work alright for them. --Champthom 05:39, 28 July 2009 (CEST)
- well, once we have a nice index page made, it'll be time to copy stuff over. please decide on a nice way to organize fan works. --cogsdev/vedsgoc 03:07, 29 July 2009 (CEST)
Megan Emails
What happened to all of the Megan emails, and why aren't they on here? There are the Blanca emails, why not Megans? There are quite a few and more than enough to fill up an article. Hamsterjelly 03:57, 3 September 2009 (CEST)
- They're there, they're just in chronological order with the other e-mails he's received. You're more than welcome to filter out the Megan e-mails into their own article. And there's actually quite a few Blanca e-mails, IIRC, that still need to be transcribed. The problem with the Blanca e-mails is that at best you can copy and paste from PDF versions, which is a real bitch. --Champthom 14:13, 3 September 2009 (CEST)
- All filtered out into Megan E-mails, Ms. Jelly. --James Lamp-Eye 06:08, 23 September 2009 (CEST)
File Cleanup
I've been removing some old revisions of files that Whoreos n' Milf has compressed, hopefully that'll give the CWCki some extra space for other stuff. Sorry if the list of recent changes suddenly looks spammy. SirCucumber 05:27, 26 September 2009 (CEST)
Who is the Lock Your Door guy? Is he Chris-chan?
Now spring 2009, Wikipedia found all these sock puppets they thought were Chris-chan that did all this "Lock Your Door" posts vandalism. I always thought it was a poser but... Well about 24 hours ago somebody called "Lock Your Door Well Tonight" vandalized here including some trolling on my talk page that was reverted. 24 hours ago was also when Chris-chan blocked me from YouTube in response to a private message. So I think maybe this "Lock Your Door" persona really is Chris-chan after all. --Ritegroic 20:52, 5 October 2009 (CEST)
- I doubt it. I think it's PhinnyCupcakes who's still butthurt about the Sonichu:The Animated Series article and for being banned by cogs. Also, I highly doubt Chris would be familiar with the "Yo dawg, I heard you..." meme (which this vandal was using) in addition to the Troll Face macro he was using to spam with. A bit too sophisticated for Chris. --Champthom 21:18, 5 October 2009 (CEST)
- Uh, I think the Wikipedia LYD incident predates whatever the hell the folks are doing over at the STAS article, so I don't think it's anyone related to STAS. To me, this looks like moderately sophisticated vandal who just happens to pick on Chris and trolls. But then again, this is just me and my useless spider-sense. --wwwwolf (wake me when you need me) 11:05, 13 October 2009 (CEST)
CWC-isms
Chris has tons of lulzy quotes, but it's so much funnier to hear them than to just read them. A couple of people have tried making soundboards, but they never get very far. What if we could use the soundboard to enhance the articles on cwcki? Here's what I'm thinking: make a Category:Soundboard for all the files to be listed in. In order to keep size down we should limit clips to no more 10 seconds. Both mp3 and ogg formats are supported by Mediawiki, so we can use either of those formats. What do you guys think? --Whoreos n' Milf 03:15, 13 October 2009 (CEST)
- hmm, that could definitely be interesting. we'd probably need to install an extension for that, though, so please recommend something off the mediawiki extension matrix --cogsdev/vedsgoc 09:24, 13 October 2009 (CEST)
- There's this for ogg support, I can't find one for mp3 and ED doesn't seem to be showing all their extensions? ogg is fine, (actually, better from a size standpoint) but it requires re-encoding, which is a little more difficult to explain in a how-to. --Whoreos n' Milf 15:58, 13 October 2009 (CEST)
- Are we going to do this? --Whoreos n' Milf 21:05, 17 October 2009 (CEST)
- i think this is a bit more suitable, as OggHandler relies on software i can't install. i'll try it out later --cogsdev/vedsgoc 23:53, 17 October 2009 (CEST)
- Alright, hit my talk page up if you get it working, and I'll start getting the files ready. --Whoreos n' Milf 21:08, 25 October 2009 (CET)

Here's a repository of everything Chris-related that's been distributed through mediafire: http://www.mediafire.com/CWC/ <= the endslash is important! I'll keep adding new things as they come out as well (if they're on mediafire, I'm not going to re-up off MU & RS). --Whoreos n' Milf 21:05, 17 October 2009 (CEST)
This Day in Christory
i've added a new section to the front page that displays a message based on the day of the year. to add more stuff, read this and then make a page that follows this format:
- Template:Christory/(Month in words) (Day in numbers, less than 10 padded with zeros)
for example:
- Template:Christory/October 01
- Template:Christory/November 23
i'd like it if someone could add a huge list of all the possible entries to the bottom of Template:Christory(within the noinclude tags, of course) so it's easier to tell which have been made already and which haven't --cogsdev/vedsgoc 01:51, 1 November 2009 (CET)
IRC Formatting
Has anyone got all the IRC chat logs in their original format? I want to write a script that will output them in a format like on this page. If there's a few different formats it doesn't matter, I just want the raw text files as they were before being uploaded and formatted. --Ed Kelly 05:21, 1 November 2009 (CET)
- canine probably does, i'll direct him here --cogsdev/vedsgoc 05:32, 1 November 2009 (CET)
