Chris's Monologue (18:48)
Chris: [Starts with a heavy sigh] Yes, thank you Chris, thank you Son-Chu. [sigh] The... demise on the 1218 half of the Earth of Peter Cullen... it struck me deep. Very much so.
[video cuts to a closer shot of Chris, he speaks with a softer voice than usual]
Chris: [sigh] Now, I've never had the pleasure of meeting Peter in person. I feel a bit of regret in that, I wish I could have had the opportunity to meet him in person. But, I have been a fan of the Transformers ever since Generation 1, me being born in the year 1982, around the time when, uh, even the Challenge of the GoBots was on television. And of course the GoBots toys being out in the markets at that time, and, uh, just being born in the pre- the February of that year. But still, hearing Peter Cullen's voice, it just- it resonated with me. I always felt like there was a good sense of like a father figure, a good sense of moral, and of course that sense of leadership within him. And of course that was inspired by part by his brother, his late brother at- definitely at this point, and I think probably at the point when he talked about it in one interview some time ago, but yeah.
Peter was a very strong figure in his own right, and he also had his fun side, which that was made apparent in one of his interviews which, uh, had Frank Welker in there as well, that was fun. He inspired everybody. He inspired a lot of people and he inspired me as well. But obviously I try to be as good as him and I'm still not perfect, I mean, just... [sigh] mm, best I can, an- individual, whatever situation I've got here. But I sort of made up hopeful and optimistic, mm, just like now Optimus, "I am optimist, my name is Optimus." [sigh] But in any event... I know that everybody is missing him already, including his family and his close friends, and all his business associates and everybody. And we in the Transformers fandom, this has hurt us very much.
And where was I? When I first heard about... this. [sigh] I heard about it in a notification from Bluesky, somebody was like, "Hey, did you hear? Peter Cullen died." I was like, "What!?" I looked at my phone, I looked on Bluesky, the thing- the message was there, and I looked on Twitter for more- more present t- tense of notification news, and it's like- [does a gaping mouth shocked expression] I was in shock. I was in shock... [briefly puts hand in face sadly and inhales] Then it took a little bit of a while because of autism, then the waterworks came out. A little bit of a while after I made my commentary post about that, but still, I felt this hit hard. Harder than even Jason David Frank, the Green Ranger, and I liked him of the Power Rangers fame and everything. [sigh] And also, the fact that he lived about a year longer than even my dad. One month after his birthday, Peter Cullen. Two days and a quarter hour after his birthday, Mister C, my dad. Still- [briefly puts hand to face and grunts] I know, I feel like I'm digressing a lot, but blame the autism!
In any event, Peter, from one creative to another, and one that is also spiritually enlightened and as blessed as possible within this time, within this decade, within this life, within all lifetimes everywhere... I personally want to thank you, for your years, your life, and everything you have given to all of us loving devoted fans within not only the Transformers community but everybody within the Hasbro Corporation and everybody just around the world in general. And even like essentially throughout the multiverse.
At this point, I'm still surprised. Obviously, at this point your counterpart in the C-197 half survived you, so now you're living through his body on the C-197 half, so, here's to us seeing you again after the dimension merge is complete. And everybody, all of us original "FICTIONAL" cartoon and live-action characters and individuals in all of existence (except for those that are like, you know, past tense, not immortal, but then future tense, post-apocalyptic, not here), we're all going to be together. Just as I've always said. But yeah... [sigh] still hits hard though. Mm, to clarify, C-197 half is not the Heaven realm. I've been to the Heaven realm. I've also been to the Hell realm, I've been all around! Astral projection, astral manifestation. Okay? I have been there. [sigh]
In any event, Pete, till we see you again... we're going to miss you. [Chris holds back from crying] A lot of people are going to miss you. [inhale and exhale] I will certainly miss you as well. Take him around... At least you are where you are in the state of California on the C-194 half, along with everybody that's over there. I think Gumball Watterson lives in California if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, [sigh, then does his prayer hand motion] Peter Cullen would want everybody, all of you, to continue on living, not grieving upon his death. But continue on living in your own life, within your own spark, as we are all one, and then until the day, we all are one. And in-- [video cuts] -- the dimension merge is completed, which is affect- which is affecting everybody. Stay strong. Stay as optimistic as possible within these dark times. We all must stay strong in order to enact and exude all the kindness that we can possibly can. [video cuts] Everybody, go forth with all your souls, your energy and your aura, and with all of the sparks. Autobots, transform and roll out.
[Chris exhales and looks like he's praying, then he holds his arms out to hold the "Matrix of Leadership" from Transformers which is edited in] They're all one indeed. Hm, makes you wish I had the replica Matrix of Leadership right here at the home, but just picture it. All well and good. [sharp inhale then sigh] Still... I had no script on this, to make this more evident. Thank you. And thank you, Pete. [Chris holds a water bottle then sighs, preparing to give a toast. The video cuts back to zoom out with a full body shot of Chris present again]
