Incest refers to sexual activities between persons related by kin. On 29 July 2021, evidence emerged on Reddit that Chris had engaged in sexual activities with Barbara, his mother, since June 2021. A leaked audio recording and incriminating text messages between Chris and a persona named "Bella" showed that Chris had discussed masturbating his elderly mother and his attempts to stimulate his mother's G-spot, and explicitly compared her sexual experiences with 8 other previous men, including his father, Bob, and their inability to provide his mother with an orgasm.

Early on the morning of 30 July, prompted by someone reporting the leaks, Greene County Police visited 14 Branchland Court for a wellness check, at which point Chris was issued an emergency protective order, forbidding contact between Chris and Barbara, and preventing him from remaining at her residence until 5 August. Barbara was removed to a hospital for a senior care inspection.

On 30 July 2021, Chris admitted the authenticity of the recordings to YouTuber Dillin Thomas.

Allegations

In the leaks, it is alleged that Chris and his mother engaged in substantial sexual activity, including Chris masturbating his mother, and engaging in penetrative intercourse with her. It is further alleged that his mother compared him to various other sexual partners, including Chris's father.

The leaked audio likewise contained graphic descriptions of sexual activity, which Chris alludes to as the veracity of "incest fanfics". The authenticity of the recording was confirmed by Chris to Dillon Thomas, though it is believed that the recording may have been doctored to remove identifying information on "Bella" - a troll persona operated by 10thanonymous

An uncut version was later released by an alleged accessory of 10thanonymous, ternarymercury on Youtube, consisting of a few minutes of discussion on miscellaneous errata and an unknown individual "Fiona", alledgedly an autistic woman who was going to visit Everfree Northwest prior to the release of the leaks.

Prior events

In general, the relationship between Chris and his mother has always been seen as a "little too close", likely due to his mother's overly coddling nature towards him in his early life all through to his adult one. It has been keenly noted during the Doopie Saga that Chris has used the words "darling" and "dear", commonly reserved for romantic relationships, to refer to his mother.

Many christorians have noted that potential tells or patterns that would indicate sexual activity between Chris and his mother have been made previously. As early as 2016, the Man in the Pickle Suit noted that at Chris's plea arrangement, Chris and his mother were touching each other in an unusually intimate and inappropriate fashion. As recently as 2019, Chris, whilst roleplaying as Magichan referred to his mother as a "guilty pleasure waifu[sic]". Further, in 2016, Chris admitted to having dreams of having sex with his mother, in a facebook post stating that "I, myself, Did have dreams of having sex with my mother".Troll Arthur Spatchcock disclosed on the Kiwifarms that following the Destruction of Chris's house, Chris and his mother were routinely spooning. At the time, Chris denied any impropriety, stating "I am not a 'Bates'. OMG.".

Subsequent events

It is a criminal offense in Virginia to engage in incest - sexual activities between a parent and a child is a class 5 felony, punishable on indictment by up to 10 years incarceration. As of 31 July, Chris has not been criminally charged. As a result of the protection order levied against Chris, he has been removed from his home. Initial plans to stay with extended family were disrupted after the invitation was rescinded. Due to ongoing financial problems, Chris could not afford a hotel, and was told by Null to sleep in his van for a few days to allow for Null to have the proceeds of Chris's GoFundMe (originally intended, prior to the incest allegations, for Chris to attend Everfree Northwest) transferred to his bank account.

On 30th of July, Everfree Northwest posted that "appropriate action to protect the vulnerable" will be taken; while not naming Chris, it is suspected that that this tweet refers to the revocation of Chris's invitation to the convention, which Null subsequently confirmed. Due to the disturbing and lurid nature of the allegations, hashtags and topics such as #Chris-chan and #CHRISCHANDIDWHAT trended on Twitter, reaching 4th overall trend on July 30th, exposing a large number of otherwise uninvolved individuals to the story of Chris-Chan.

On 31 July, Null, who had access to Chris's email (with Chris's permission) since the Guard Dogs saga, found that Chris had received $750 from Barb's bank account, meaning he had either contacted Barb, or had gained access to Barb's bank account himself, in violation of the emergency protection order either way. When confronted, Chris initially denied the accusation, claiming he had "managed to find blessings in the minimum abundance needed." However, upon further questioning he confirmed the that he had had access to Barb's account for some time, contrary to Null's previous assumption that Barb had been control of Chris's finances and not vice versa. Chris mentioned that he planned to spend the day at the mall, presumably spending some of the $750. Whether he followed through has not been confirmed.

Upset by Chris embezzling from his mother and lying to cover it up, Null cut contact with him, reported the theft to authorities, and canceled the transfer of the GoFundMe money, arranging for it to be refunded to the donors..

Later that day, Null posted an exchange he had with Chris on 5 July, where Chris claimed to be in a sexual relationship with an older woman who he was reluctant to share details about, but mentioned that she had once worked as an accountant (Barb's pre-retirement profession) and that the affair was "something out an anime or fan fiction" - reminiscent of a statement in the leaked conversation about "incest fanfics come true".

On the evening of the 31st of July, reddit user Chrisisaman located Son-chu parked at the Regency Inn in Richmond, Virginia, confirming speculation that Chris will be spending time in a motel. .
