In September 2017, while in the virtual bosom of his new sweetheart, Jessica Quinn, Chris inserted her into the world of Sonichu. In addition to reinterpreting a previous character, Chris created a ponysona named Diamond Melody. Melody appeared in Sonichu #12-9; however, with Quinn's breakup with Chris and the eventual emergence of the Idea Guys in late 2017, Melody would be condemned to a single comic and be replaced with a new horse sweetheart, Kun T'Nyuget.
Raising the bar of complicated storytelling previous set by its predecessor, on 3 August 2018, Chris completed Sonichu #13, which encompasses a variety of lores and historical/political references spoonfed by the Idea Guys. The issue will remain forever inconsistent; however, this article seeks to analyze Sonichu #13 as completely as possible and provide an aid for readers attempting to comprehend the issue.

As per the previous issue, Chris's opening disclaimer for #13 states that all events portrayed in the story actually happened, either in 1218 or C-197 (as later designated), no matter how bizarre. As real life Chris is recounting his experiences as the narrator, this issue is a pseudo-autobiography.
By the time Chris and Jessica had started their relationship on 7 September 2017, Chris was already in production of his newest issue of Sonichu, which he decided to base on My Little Pony. Months prior, having attended 2017 with minimal problems, he had a new-found inspiration.

On 17 September, Chris published a drawing of Night Star paired with a new OC. Later that day, he posted a reference drawing of the new character, who bore the name "Diamond Melody".

By early October 2017, Chris and Jessica were no longer a couple. Within that same month, the Idea Guys began to manipulate Chris – an influence which would gradually seep into the comic series canon, especially with regards to Diamond Melody.

According to Sonichu #13, Bob Chandler and serial killer Ted Bundy are in fact half-Sonichus, who live in Chris's fantasy world following their respective deaths.

Story

As per the previous issue, Chris's opening disclaimer for #13 states that all events portrayed in the story actually happened, either in 1218 or C-197 (as later designated), no matter how bizarre. As real life Chris is recounting his experiences as the narrator, this issue is a pseudo-autobiography.

[Prior to Sonichu 12-9, Chris used a Mary Sue comic book version of himself to depict exaggerated versions of real life events. This was childish but relatively harmless compared to Chris's current approach: his fragile mental health makes him believe that he has embarked on multiple adventures like a Saturday morning cartoon protagonist]

[The Idea Guys successfully manipulated Chris by a number of techniques including roleplaying as various characters (certain interactions such as arguments are documented in the comic - page 20) as well as recordings such as Red Forest]. They incorporated a number of edgy topics. According to Joshua Wise, he wanted to feed Chris concepts more interesting than those in 12-9 (Q&A). In a more disturbing aspect, Chris narrates multiple times that he offended certain characters for trivial offences (showcasing the Idea Guys' abuse) - page 20, 22, 25,]

From November 2017 onwards, not long after first contact with the Idea Guys, Chris started posting delusional scenarios on his social media, heavily indicative of an external influence on his behavior.[references to HN, nazis etc or examples in paragraph] Behind the scenes, Chris contemporaneously incorporated many of these scenarios into his ongoing comic; thus, the comic may serve as a reference to Chris's interactions with the Idea Guys – especially when he was instilled with particular delusions.

Issue #13 is separated into several loose story arcs, but ties together into one large narrative. Despite bearing the subtitle of The Awakening of a CPU aka The Idea Guy Corruptions, Chris's CPU Blue Heart persona and the Idea Guys are only addressed in the epilogue of the story, which was added four months after the main body of the comic was finished. The unofficial chapters are as follows:

The glaring issue with Sonichu #13 is that Chris was especially keen on ignoring the "show, don't tell" rule of media. Despite being the fifteenth issue of a comic book series, a significant portion of the comic presents its series of events in paragraphs of text, with relevant illustrations accompanying on the sides.

In the epilogue, Chris shelves the comic panel style for a literary prose
