Raising the bar of complicated storytelling previous set by its predecessor, on 3 August 2018, Chris completed Sonichu #13, which encompasses a variety of lores and historical/political references spoonfed by the Idea Guys. The issue will remain forever inconsistent; however, this article seeks to analyze Sonichu #13 as completely as possible and provide an aid for readers attempting to comprehend the issue.
Story
As per the previous issue, Chris's opening disclaimer for #13 states that all events portrayed in the story actually happened, either in 1218 or C-197 (as later designated), no matter how bizarre. As real life Chris is recounting his experiences as the narrator, this issue is a pseudo-autobiography.
[Prior to Sonichu 12-9, Chris used a Mary Sue comic book version of himself to depict exaggerated versions of real life events. This was childish but relatively harmless compared to Chris's current approach: his fragile mental health makes him believe that he has embarked on multiple adventures like a Saturday morning cartoon protagonist]
[The Idea Guys successfully manipulated Chris by a number of techniques including roleplaying as various characters (certain interactions such as arguments are documented in the comic - page 20) as well as recordings such as Red Forest]. They incorporated a number of edgy topics. According to Joshua Wise, he wanted to feed Chris concepts more interesting than those in 12-9 (Q&A). In a more disturbing aspect, Chris narrates multiple times that he offended certain characters for trivial offences (showcasing the Idea Guys' abuse) - page 20, 22, 25,]
From November 2017 onwards, not long after first contact with the Idea Guys, Chris started posting delusional scenarios on his social media, heavily indicative of an external influence on his behavior.[references to HN, nazis etc or examples in paragraph] Behind the scenes, Chris contemporaneously incorporated many of these scenarios into his ongoing comic; thus, the comic may serve as a reference to Chris's interactions with the Idea Guys – especially when he was instilled with particular delusions.
Issue #13 is separated into several loose story arcs, but ties together into one large narrative. Despite bearing the subtitle of The Awakening of a CPU aka The Idea Guy Corruptions, Chris's CPU Blue Heart persona and the Idea Guys are only addressed in the epilogue of the story, which was added four months after the main body of the comic was finished. The unofficial chapters are as follows:
- Uzume-possessed Chris and his battles with Kurome (pages 1-7)
- Operation BARBarossa and the Russian Invasion of CWCville (pages 8-12)
- The Hunt for E115 and Evil Chris (pages 13-15)
- Fate of the Chaotic Combo (pages 16-17)
- Rosechu's Gender Reveal (pages 18-19)
- Purging of Silvana (pages 20-21)
- Chris and Blanc's Date (pages 22-22B)
- Australatina/Nazi-CWCville War (pages 23-26)
- Sonichu Captures and the Death of Simonla (pages 27-28)
- Chris renounces Christianity (pages 29-30)
- The Heroes Retaliate (pages 31-32)
Regardless of the removal of the Idea Guys in April 2018 [check date], Chris later stated that #13 remains canon and still occurred. [find source]
