Autism and remorse
It's actually a common trait of autism to lack empathy, which is why someone who is autistic would have trouble showing remorse. This should be noted in the article. Otherwise, decent article - I was afraid this was going to be an armchair psychology article with whoever started this article's opinions on why Chris is fucked up but it actually documents pretty well the major occasions Chris has lacked empathy. --Champthom 19:16, 7 November 2009 (CET)

I'm no expert, but should it be said that there's a difference between empathy and compassion? According to my understanding (brace for tl;dr): empathy is understanding what others are thinking and feeling at that moment, whereas compassion is caring about other beings. One could not have much empathy, in that they cannot perceive/understand what another person is thinking or feeling; but they could also be compassionate in that they truly do not wish to hurt other people, despite being "clumsy" emotionally. - Going by that, Chris would at least be somewhat compassionate. It's not too far-fetched to think that Chris truly likes his parents, his pets, and his sweethearts (mostly Megan), albeit in his own awkwardly-expressed way. - I don't believe it was supposed to be extortion - Chris had no actual power in that situation and doesn't seem to think about consequences or how one pattern of behaviour links to another. I would guess that the death threats and asking for money were completely separate acts to be looked at independently of each other. In Chris's eyes, at least. Antisocial personality disorder
I have a feeling that Chris suffers from antisocial personality disorder, whose diagnosis criteria detail many of the characteristics that Chris exhibits.

Chris and improvement
I was thinking about possibly adding a section to this article about Chris' current willingness to improve on his character, as well as his apologies to people he previously wronged. I also feel that some of the information regarding his apologies could fit into the "Chris and kindness" article. If there is too much information regarding this topic, we should probably make it into a new article called "Chris and improvement" -

My History with Chris-Chan
I have learned about Chris sometime in 2013, and have later watched The Best of Chris-Chan, Vol. 1. I was roughly 14 years old at the time. The first Chris Chan video that I have ever watched was one where Chris cosplays as Fred Flintstone while singing the theme song in his shrill voice. I hadn't really paid much attention to his whole story until about 2 or 3 years later when I began lurking on the CWCki, and later getting an account both here and on the Kiwi Farms in 2017, right around when the Doopie Saga was reaching its climax. In the meantime, I would watch a Chris Chan video here and there.
I would be an on-and-off Christorian for the following years, especially from 2019 to 2020 when Chris content just became Chris's fantasies being manipulated by the latest failtroll of the week, Chris was mostly a rambling hippie, and most new content had happened behind closed curtains. Sometime after news broke out that Chris was spooning his mother, I had become more invested in Christory than ever before, as the fanbase surrounding Chris had started to grow, and there became more of a chance to clean up many of the articles on here.
