Due to the game's co-creator Edmund McMillen being a carpetbagger and friend of Chris, it allowed Chris to do voice acting work for the game and have his character Sonichu explicitly mentioned and referenced in the game. Chris was involved with creating artwork for the Mewgenics comic, and later teased his involvement with the game itself in the months leading up to its Steam release on 10 February 2026.
