The Megatron pistol is one of Chris's many relics of fail. More widely known as "Generation 1 Megatron," it's a robot from the Transformers toy line that can transform into a replica of a Walther P38 pistol and fire pellets. The realism of this make-believe "gun" was the source of some controversy back when the toy was originally released in the 1980s.
Because the toy was deemed too dangerous for children, manufacturers removed the ability to shoot pellets from the US version of this toy. Any time a transformer that transforms into a gun is released, the American version is usually given an unrealistic nerf gun type paint job or is never released in America at all. This means Chris either purchased the very rare original one, one of it's many reissues, or imported the Masterpiece Edition. Either way, this toy costs well over $100USD and Chris bought it all with his tugboat. Knowing Chris and his idea of cleanliness, the toy is probably worthless now. With recent events involving Chris and the police, if you see him holding the pistol in a holster in public (which, with Chris, is a rare sight), promptly kick him in the duck and alert the authorities that an autistic manchild is wandering in public with a pistol that turns into a robot.
Use in real life
Chris uses the Megatron pistol to show his displeasure towards those who get in the way of his personal whims. Most infamously, Chris used it against a picture of Adam Stackhouse in a once-forgotten video now known as "CWC is Angry." The pistol has more recently appeared in the War Paint Video, in which Chris insists that he's a Cherokee while brandishing what appears to be a World War II-era German pistol.
Use in the comics
“ | I know, but you shot him with a real gun in the comic. Like—like… he was my boyfriend, and you shot him! I mean, don't you think that I still care about him a little? That's just weird. I just—I mean, like, I was expecting, like, you know, like, a magical fight, not like… you shooting him. | ” |
Kacey voicing some discomfort |
Sonichu Special 4 saw the first hand-drawn appearance of Chris's Megatron pistol. In an attempt to rescue Kacey from her own boyfriend, Chris drives as fast as he legally can to their house and enters uninvited. Liquid, fearing a home invasion, charges Chris with a knife. Chris sidesteps this attack and then goes on to disarm Liquid, throw him to the ground, and shoot him in both shins, permanently crippling him.
