GameStop
YOUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK! The contents of this page have been bought with taxpayer money! |
GameStop is an American video game retailer from which Chris used to buy his consoles and games, prior to 26 December 2014.
Within the comic, GameStop locations appear in CWCville Mall in Sonichu #0, and in the Sho-Mall Region in Sub-Episode 1 .
In 2008, Chris won $400 in the GameStop Be A Star Sweepstakes Guitar Hero contest after an uncoordinated troll attack backfired.
Chris also supposedly met Chloe there while the two of them were pre-ordering LittleBigPlanet.
2009 sighting
On 23 November 2009, a post was made on a gaming forum by a GameStop employee.[1] The post documented a real-life encounter with Chris and contained four pictures.
The employee, named Angel, had some knowledge of Chris prior to this meeting, thanks to Chris's Encyclopedia Dramatica page. Angel made a wager with a gal pal that if he was to ever take a picture with Chris, she and Angel would have to get married. The gal pal accepted this challenge—yet another example of people finding true love through trolling Chris.
Angel's forum post:
Pic 1: Don't the teen affectations, I hadda do the duck lips and peace sign as part of the wedding bet, oh, I had to touch him also.
Pic 2: Sonichu Shrinkey Dinks, bitches, copywritten and all. Pic 3: Siggy, I need to get an extra for my fiance, but it needs to be personalized and say "love" at least once. Pic 4: His card. Basically, I've known this girl since she was 12, we discovered him sometime earlier this year and after some creative googling, I discovered he was a local. Then I started to remember him from The Game Place on Fridays, Pokemon night--easier to find an unattached girl when she's only 9, I guess. I told my friend and she accused me of lying, so we made a bet, her idea, her hand, for my pic with him. Everyone at the store, hell the whole GameStop corporation, knows this guy, he's a bottomless pit of lulz for us, which I'll share soon. Oddly they didn't know about the orange soda and semen drinking. Anyhow, Once the deal was made, I swore everyone in the store to calling me once he shows. A month or so back, he showed up at the GH5 contest blood drive and I was working. I motion to Kyle to stop him from walking out the door because I was busy and Kyle pussied out, so I yelled out "I-is that... Sonichu?" he did a 180 so fast there was a sonic boom and immediately made for me. He started talking to me about that shitty comic of his, and I hadda pretend to be into it. But I got my pic and my wife. I'll post pics of her at some point, if she says yes to it. |
In 2014
- Main article: 26 December 2014
On 26 December 2014, Chris was caught vandalizing a Sonic Boom display in GameStop, the result was recorded by a bystander who uploaded the evidence to Tumblr the next day. As a male member of staff called security, Chris stormed out, saying "Don't call anybody!" and sprayed the poor man, with mace, according to the person who recorded this. Chris clearly still has no idea how to behave in public, as he continues to deface store property (in fact he's lucky not to have been arrested for vandalism yet), abuse staff, and generally turn heads for all the wrong reasons. Moreover, his actions clearly show that he believes he is answerable to no-one.
Moreover, Chris violated a previous ban from the store to do this, which is why he is wearing a pair of purple toy sunglasses, as some sort of disguise. A troll from 4chan supposedly called the employee Chris has attacked, who confirmed he will be pressing charges, and it was eventually confirmed that Chris is now in jail, waiting for a hearing over his triple-whammy crime. It looks like this will finally bring an end to Chris's lucky streak of getting off the hook with warnings or bans which he clearly ignores anyway.
War Against Gamestop
In November 2015, CWCville enacted an embargo on Gamestop in retaliation for their discriminatory practices against Autistics, Lesbians, and transgenders. After a video in which Chris pleas for an end to the discrimination, Gamestop officially replied with a ban that extended to cover the state of Virginia, showing that Chris's feeble attempt at damage control has failed yet again.
