BronyCon was a yearly convention held by bronies, adult fans of My Little Pony, from 2011 to 2019. It was held annually at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland, beginning in 2013. Chris had been a fan of the series years before then, yet he only began attending the conventions in 2017, as his interest in the children's cartoon deepened. He would continue to attend annually until My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, BronyCon's raison d'être, ended its nine-year run in 2019 (despite Chris's protests). Even with his low regard among the MLP community, Chris has remained eager to congregate with his fellow fans.
2019
BronyCon 2019 was the last BronyCon, taking place at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland from 1-4 August 2019. In the end, Chris survived BronyCon 2019 without incident. Surprising indeed.
The only special thing about his visit to BronyCon 2019 was when he discovered Twilight Sparkle's Secret Shipfic Folder, a fan-made shipping card game. After the convention was over, Chris would begin posting his own fan-made cards on Twitter, being the successor of Chris's custom Pokémon cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.

Sarah and Steve had originally planned to share a room with Chris,[2] but they pulled out, leaving Chris to appeal for $600 to cover costs.[1] On 14 July, some ween gave him the whole amount, and on 30 July, he confirmed on YouTube that he would go the entire four days in his General BronyCon Announcement.
Cosplay
In July, Chris teased his attire for next month's BronyCon in two tweets.[3][4] Kiwi Farms soon deciphered that Chris would be cosplaying as Kris, the female selectable protagonist of the video game Pokémon Crystal. Considering Chris's usual hack jobs when it comes to hair dye, achieving such seaweed color would not prove too much of a challenge.

Day 1
In the early hours of 1 August, Chris made the journey to Baltimore, leaving at around 6:15 local time (EST) and arriving at around 10:45. The journey took Chris and Son-Chu about 4 hours and 30 minutes.
