As of June 10, Chris has successfully hosted the lemonade stand (with some help from his congregation and UVA students) and pledged to give the money towards the organization the following day. Notably, this is one of the few incidents where Chris has both followed through on his promise, and positively contributed towards the community.

"Cwcville Helps", February 2012
I, as a charitable individual, like helping others, and Children are our future. So, I am participating during the weekend to help the cause to cure cancer in children, so they all can grow into fine, healthy adults.
Chris, not being ironic.

Alex's Lemonade Stand is a charity program founded by Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young girl whom wanted to raise awareness to childhood cancer. One of the organization's business partners was Lego, who used their new "Lego Friends" line to help. Chris, being the Tomgirl and fan of Lego that he is, set up a lemonade stand in hopes of raising money in honor of his deceased father.

The event

He did it!Hallelujah

According to the event page, entitled "Cwcville Helps", Chris was to run the lemonade stand for all three days of the event - from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m on Friday, June 8 through Sunday, June 10, 2012, more work than Chris had done since Cutco ditched him nine years ago. The stand was originally to be set up outside Chris's house, then moved to the old Circuit City building, 100 Albemarle Square, Charlottesville, and then to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. The initial fundraising goal of US$50 was quickly met after donations from Chris's friends, neighbors and fans, as well as some more sinister figures, such as Clyde Cash and the Man in the Pickle Suit. As of June 2, the total amount of donations exceeded $150, although Chris never changed his original donation goal.

Shit was so cash!

The page was later temporarily deleted, for reasons unknown; it is likely that Chris decided that raising money for dying children wasn't worth the stress of hearing mean things from trolls. It resurfaced at the beginning of June with the new location listed as his church.

By June 10, Chris had successfully hosted the lemonade stand (with some help from his congregation and UVA students) and pledged to give the money to the organization the following day. Notably, this was one of the few incidents in which Chris both followed through on his promise, and positively contributed towards the community.
