Since his discovery on the Internet, there have been many sightings of Chris over the years. Chris is notably not fond of people taking Bigfoot style pictures of him for their "gross, uncool amusement".[2]

Walmart
On 3 or 4 September 2011, Chris was spotted and photographed at a Walmart.
2013
January
McDonald's
On 29 January 2013, Chris was spotted and photographed eating at a McDonald's.

On 22 September 2013, Chris was spotted and photographed.
December
Best Buy
On 19 December 2013, Chris was spotted at a Best Buy store by Tumblr user vysetron. The user posted about their encounter later in the day at 5:43 PM:[3]

I was in Best Buy today and I saw the legendary Christian Weston Chandler in the checkout. When I asked if it was really him he just said "no comment" and avoided eye contact, but that's not all. He then opened his wallet and slid me, and I am not making this up, a BUSINESS CARD with a picture of his Mii on it and every imaginable social network contact, email, etc, as well as a 3DS friend code handwritten on the back. April
On 5 April 2014, Chris was spotted and photographed at Target by Reddit user u/cabelaman who posted it to r/WTF a little after midnight on 6 April:[4]

| I wish I got a shot from the front, he was wearing a bra that he obviously stuffed with paper. Pretty disturbing to see honestly. He forgot his wallet at the checkout and literally ran out of the store and ran back in with a womens style wallet to pay for the cartload of laundry detergent he was buying. |

February
On 5 February 2015, Chris and Barb were spotted and photographed leaving the courthouse after their hearing for the 26 December 2014 incident.
April
On 2 April 2015, Chris was spotted and photographed going to McDonald's before his hearing and then was photographed outside the Charlottesville Circuit Court.
2016
September
Toys "R" Us
On 11 September 2016, Chris was spotted and photographed at Toys "R" Us.
2018
August
On 13 August 2018, Chris was photographed, apparently unrecognized, by a fellow patient in a waiting room at a Region Ten therapy location. The other person had noticed Chris's unusual outfit with accessories usually associated with girls and posted the photo to Twitter with the comment, "Who's girl is this". Chris replied saying he wished the person had spoken to him instead of taking the photo without his knowledge.[5]

Target
On 15 April 2019, Chris was spotted and photographed at a Target by Reddit user OMalley_The_AlleyCat. The Reddit user wrote:

October
On 7 October 2020, Chris was seen driving in Ruckersville, Virginia near Legacy Church by Reddit user mateochamplain who soon shared info to r/ChrisChanSonichu minutes later:[6]

| Lol tbh I'm just glad to see he's still around, I haven't seen him out in quite a while. I have walked past him in the grocery stores a few times and easily could have taken up close pictures with him but I haven't. |

Sometime in either 2020 or 2021, Chris was spotted and photographed. The photo itself however was not released until March 2023 shortly after Chris's release from jail. The photo was first posted as a hoax first post-jail sighting, something that would not actually happen until 1 May 2023.
