Definition
Facial blindness, also known as Prosopagnosia, is a cognitive disorder that inhibits the ability to recognize familiar faces. Sometimes including one's own. There are two types of facial blindness: "acquired" and "congenital". The cause of facial blindness is caused when the fusiform gyrus and surrounding area is damaged. As the fusiform gyrus plays a key part in one's brain in recognizing faces against other complex objects. While congenital, or developed facial blindness, comes from a lack of socializing which prevents one from distinguishing facial features. Causing facial blindness to be common amongst those affected with autism and social anxiety.[1][2]
Though never formally diagnosed, it's fairly certain Chris is unable to differentiate or remember faces. The earliest, and most obvious example, is the troll persona Blanca Weiss. When Chris requested a photo to prove her legitimacy. The trolling group FCTC originally sent photos of a fair skinned brunette. As time went on. Possibly on a whim, the trolling group had decided to change Blanca's identity. Now portrayed as a tan skinned Asian woman. Chris being unable to recall Blanca's previous incarnations kept the view of Blanca as a true and honest sweetheart.
Another troll, Emily Schifflet would play the role of several characters in Christory, realizing that Chris could not recognize her face. As seen in the quote below.[3]

This inability to recognize faces could be why Chris views himself differently in his comics when compared to reality. Since he is unable to recognize his own features. He prefers to fabricate his own view of himself as handsome and rugged. It could be why Chris is very adamant against being shown as unhealthy, fat, and less than handsome. As his perception is the honest and true interpretation of reality. Due to Chris's delusions he has sometimes claimed he resembles certain people when he sees fit. Such as Billy Mays or Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Of course when hearing a familiar voice wouldn't that raise suspicion? It's believed Chris also suffers from Phonagnosia. The inability to recognize or differentiate voices. The most prime example is Julay and Max who is both played by Bluespike. As Bluespike barely changed the pitch and tone when switching between the two. Lars, who is played by Alec Benson Leary, is another person that Chris failed to recognized. His tone deafness is the main contributor to Chris's inability to recognize voices.
