2 Phones is a 2015 rap song by Kevin Gates. It contains the lyrics, "I got two phones, one for the bitches and one for the dough".
Chris began using two cellphones in 2018 (despite his dire financial situation).[1] When explaining the unusual possession of two phones, Chris alters the lyrics of "2 Phones" to:
| “ | I got two phones! One for the trolls, and one for my homes! I got two phones! One for the bullies, and one for my friends.[2] | ” |
Chris believed it worthwhile to keep his older phone number which is often the target of prank calls by trolls, while also funding a new number for trusted acquaintances. In effect, trolls indirectly contributed to Chris's poor financial decision to spend double on phone services to attempt to outmaneuver them. Both of Chris's numbers have since been leaked.
