Bruce Johnson

Dr. Bruce Johnson was the principal of the school Chris attended for the fourth grade. He became a phantom menace to the Chandlers in an imagined vast conspiracy against them for his recommendation that Chris be placed in a school geared towards assisting children with developmental and learning disabilities because of his numerous disciplinary problems.

The Principle of the Nathanel Greene Elemetary School [sic], Dr. Johnson, was a Homo, and when I was sent to his office; he picked me up, set me on his lap, then I would always get off his lap, because I ALWAYS HATED that; I felt bad vibes back then. Fortunately, it has never gone beyond that, and my father caught his intentions on that, and the Court Battles Started. He likely exagerates [sic], but my father knew that there were a bunch of homos within that school board, and that was why they hated me and my family, in addition to those people not understanding Autism. Anyway, from those past memories, that is why I have grown up to Rarely Associate with men, and why I DESPIE [sic] THE HOMOS the Worst.

Chris's memory, quoted above, was likely a fabrication, formed after exposure to Bob Chandler's irrational claim that the state wanted to commit his son to a primitive turn of the century mental facility, such as the one depicted in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. This fear most likely caused Bob to a priori label Johnson a homosexual – an extremely disparaging and damning term, coming from someone like Bob – with Chris's lap-sitting story as a fitting, yet completely unrelated, justification.

The school's insistence on placing Chris in a more appropriate education setting drove the Chandlers to take the school to court. The favorable verdict for the school likely served as the imputes for Bob's nonsensical conspiracy story, as recanted in Chris's words above.
