On 28 December 2014, a troll (using some godawful voice-masking device) called the Albemarle Regional Jail in order to confirm that Chris was an inmate there following an incident at a local GameStop the previous day. According to the officer who answers the phone, they had received two prior calls that day asking about Chris. The officer confirms that it was indeed pepper spray that Chris had sprayed the employee with, and that said employee was doing fine after the incident.

Officer: Harvey Morris.
Caller: (mumbling) Hi. I, uh, want to request some information about an inmate that you have available.
Officer: Lemme guess, Chandler?
Caller: Uh yeah, the name is Christian Weston Chandler. I’m not the first one who’s calling about him?
Officer: Callin’ about what?
Caller: Uh, I’m not the first person to call you about this particularly…
Officer: No, you’re the third person in a row, that’s how I knew who it was about.
Caller: Okay, I’m… I’m… surprised… I want to confirm or deny he is in jail right now, because, ah, somebody said that he was in two days(?) ago or something.
Officer: Yeah, he’s here.
Caller: He is? In jail?
Officer: He’s here, he’s got video court Monday mornin’, the next thing that’ll happen(/then we’ll see what’ll happen?)
Caller: Okay, ahh, would you have more information?
Officer: What do you wanna know?
Caller: I dunno, um, if he’s going to be charged, ahh, if he’s going to uh-
Officer: Oh yeah he got a charge for...sprayin’ gas, I think he sprayed pepper spray on somebody.
Caller: Yeah, that’s(/there’s?) some good information that we have, I guess, some video on YouTube where he sprayed a GameStop employee with some, um, pepper spray, somethin’ like that. I hope the employee is okay.
Officer: Aw, yeah, he’s fine.
Caller: Okay, glad to hear that. Aaah, thank you very much, good afternoon, and, appreciate all your cooperation.
Officer: Yeah, try calling back tomorrow afternoon. He has video court tomorrow morning; you can try calling in the afternoon to see what happens.
Caller: Okay, thank you.
Officer: You're welcome.
