The 1980s was the decade that Christian Weston Chandler was born, under the name Christopher Weston Chandler. He wouldn't change his name untill 1994. According to Chris, he had a lot of trouble growing up, and even coped with a prolonged episode of muteness. Source material referring to the 1980s is scarce, and this article is mostly based on statements done by Chris on a later age, and on image material.
1982

- February 24 - Christopher Weston Chandler is born in Ruckersville, Virgina.[1]
- April - Cristopher allegedly speaks his first word: Monkey.[2]
- October 13 - Sarah Hammer is born.
1983
Christian has stated that in 1983, he was abused by his babysitter, starting his autism. On other occasions, however, Chris has said said he is aware of autism being a heriditary disease, making him "getting autism" impossible. We can however assume that the abuse Christopher suffered in 1983 was traumatical.[3][4]

- This year - Christopher starts talking again whilst reading a Gobot package.[7]
- This year - Christopher starts attending Nathanel Greene Elementary School. [8]
- This year - Christopher soon developed a strong dislike for the homosexual principal of the school, which is probably caused by his father's homophobia.
- February 24 - Christopher's 7th birthday.
- December - The English conductor of the Regency Square Bear Band mistakes Christopher's name for "Christian". According to Chris, this stuck, and would inspire his name-change in 1994.[9]
