January is the first month of 2023. It begins with Chris still in jail for alleged incest with his mother. A ween claimed to have made a prison visit to Chris, and Chris' case comes up for review at the end of the month.

- 4 January - According to Traineealex, Chris writes to someone, approving Traineealex as a visitor.[1]
- 9 January - Traineealex supposedly visits Chris in jail. Five days later, Traineealex posts to Reddit about his claimed jail visit, mentioning several updates on Chris, including that his hair is turning gray and that he has lost quite a bit of weight.
- 22 January - Iron_Taipain takes a tour of Ruckersville and provides recent photos of 14 Branchland Court. Those same photos appear to confirm long standing rumors about Barb not being alone and the fate of Chris' toys.
- 27 January - A review is scheduled for Chris's incest case.[2]
