January is the first month of 2014. This month began more quiet than past months have. However, on the 10th, the Chandlers' hoarding apparently finally caught up with them, when their house was damaged by what Chris claims to be an electrical fire. The extent of the damage is currently unknown, though none is apparent in the brief news report done on the incident.
Events of January 2014
- 3 January - Chris reviews his church on Facebook. He gives the church five stars and says that "the church is full of kind people who have a sense of care for others, UNLIKE the rest of Charlottesville, VA and Ruckersville, VA, who are snobbish, unfriendly and uncaring." This may suggest that Chris has begun regularly attending church again.
- 4 January - Chris posts on Facebook about Pokemon, rants against the trolls and the CWCki. He also claims to weigh 202 pounds.
- 10 January - Chris's home sustains major structural damage in an early-morning house fire.
- 11 January- Chris posts two Facebook updates. The first of which provides information to anyone wishing to help him and his mother in their situation. In the second one, Chris shares the brief news video on the fire, and draws attention to a drawing of his seen at the end of the video.
- 21 January - Chris posts several Facebook updates. He thanks people for their donations, shares a video from The Lego Movie Facebook page, and says that he now knows that he likes sardines.
- 22 January - Chris posts a Facebook update. He follows up his sardine revelation by saying that last Christmas, he received gingerbread cookies and tea toffee candy which he and his mother enjoyed.
- 24 January - Chris posts a Facebook update detailing a dream he had about playing a different version of Yahtzee. He does not appear to read into it as deeply as he has with previous dreams.
- 27 January - According to his post on Facebook, Chris and Barb move into a temporary house with furniture rented for "the months of the renovation of our original house." He again voices his appreciation for the donations, and says that he'd appreciate any gift cards that people can spare. This Facebook update is said to have been near Clover Hill, Virginia, so that is probably where their temporary house is.
- 29 January - Chris posts on [[January_2014_Facebook_Posts#BIG_BOX_of_stuff|Facebook that he has received a big box of stuff from Mimms, which his mother got really excited about. He again thanks everyone who has helped him and again expresses his wish for the CWCki to be taken down. Coincidentally, the CWCki did go down that day, only to come back up several days later.
