January was the first month of 2022. This month served as a slow start to the new year; little of note happened, but more communications to and from jail leaked out over time.

Notable events

• 10 January - Chris is called while in jail, talking about COVID-19 and the threat of global warming.
• 11 January - Chris sends another phone call while in jail, in which Chris begs his followers to give his mom or himself money. Chris also writes another letter to Kenneth Englehardt, who was only allowed to share one page.
• 13 January - Chris is called yet again in jail.
• 16 January - A chatlog from December 2019, on Chris's dream about his transgender self meeting his past self, is leaked.
• 18 January - Chatlogs from March, April and May 2021, on Chris discussing masturbation and his car troubles, are leaked.
• 19 January - A chatlog from January 2018, Gruppenfuhrer Fegelein chat, is leaked.
• 29 January - Another jail letter is received.
